"We had a couple companies come quote our basement finishing project but ultimately liked these guys the best. We felt pricing was reasonable and they were the most willing to work with us on what we wanted and ideas we had. Overall I absolutely would hire them again and would recommend them to family and friends. A couple negatives though: - they started the job earlier than anticipated but because of how their crews were scheduled this meant our job was stretched out longer than it was initially quoted for and by the end of it we really were looking forward to not having dust in our home anymore. - communication was lacking. At first this was great and quick but then as the job began stalling we wouldnâ t get updates unless we went out of our way to ask, and anytime we asked for something to be changed they just told us if they could or couldnâ t accommodate it without mentioning a change order fee. The fee wasnâ t the issue, but there were a couple times where the work was already done and then we were sent a bill. - they require you to use certain vendors for flooring and counters/cabinets. They do give a pricing estimate in the full quote but even for base model items, it was almost double what was in the quote. You donâ t get the names of the vendors ahead of signing with them, so itâ s not like we could do our research ahead of time. We ultimately got most of what we wanted but the cost ended up coming in about $7000 over what their estimates allowed for."
