And courteous with a capital C. There was no hard sell, and all the team members were in sync. This was the fastest installation project we have ever undertaken. The materials were top notch. The backsplash installer wore booties the first day because it was drizzling. MS in sales did a great job keeping us informed and working on our behalf. If you're in the S. I did a year-long renovation of my 1958 era Scarborough home.  Removed walls, opened the floor plan, and stripped away years of prior finishes clear down to the studs.  Initially I hired Steve to do trim work throughout the house.  He created shadowboxes and installed crown moulding that transformed the look.  He did a great job, attention to detail, caulked the joints.  All of the wood was painted before it went on, and then touched-up.  Then I had Steve tear out walls and restore the garage that was converted to living space.  At this point in the project I was tired of doing work myself and since Steve was available and his price was right, I had him install solid Brazilian teak floor over sub in living, dining, kitchen, and hallways on upper floors.  He stripped the pine colored finish off the stairs and handrails, and refinished to match the new dark floor.  Some new treads and risers.  Installed a new wood handrail and spindles (where I had taken out a wall) to match the existing on the other side.  Matched perfectly.  He did spackle and paint in the tall ceiling areas where I wasn't comfortable getting up on a ladder.  He installed new upper and lower cabinets in the kitchen.  Trimmed them to match the trim work in remainder of first floor.  Installed Thermador professional grade hood over range, and venting to outside.  He finished my installation of sliding door and fire rated exterior door.  Installed cement fiber board to match asbestos siding outside.  Moved an exterior light fixture.

Steve does good work.  My impression is that he does the work as if it were for himself.  If something isn't quite right he'll catch it and fix it.  The only hiccup in the entire process was one of his helpers, who he got rid of.

"I highly recommend Fabiano's Construction. Our experience with him was fantastic from beginning to end. The project was to restore and replace the exterior window frames of our 1830 Trinity. The previous owners had installed new windows on the inside but left the old ones outside for beauty. Many of these old windows were completely rotten at the bottom, barely holding the small panes of glass together. We got three estimates. One builder wanted to replace the old windows with a second set of new ones. Another was going to patch them up with wood filler. Fabiano was the only one who was willing to actually restore them, using green wood for the parts that were beyond salvaging. It was precision carpentry work requiring problem-solving ingenuity. The new frames and sills are green wood plus Azek (PVC), so they should last forever. Although more major restoration was necessary than foreseen, Fabiano and his crew—his son Will and assistant Simon—still finished the job in the predicted time. They were careful, focused, hard-working, and also really nice, honest people. It was a pleasure to meet them, and the result is a stunning improvement to our house both inside and out. Fabiano is responsive and friendly, an expert who takes pride in his work. Incredibly, his price was the lowest the three. We plan to hire him for another project."
