Comment: Our owner-occupied, two-family house built in 1912 in West Cambridge had 1st and 2nd floor front porch damage from a long time unsuspected gutter situation that spilled rain water from the 3rd floor gutter onto a corner of the 2nd floor roofless front porch and then down the pillar to the 1st floor porch causing water damage over time. Last fall the porch situation was stabilized with supports from the flooring of the 2nd floor porch to the ground. Now that spring is here we need to have the job finished with the 1st and 2nd floor front porches restored, as much as possible, to their original construction/design/style with the 6 round wooden columns on top of the 3 enclosed clapboard "boxes" with 1 set of railings between 2 of the boxes. Most of the columns have been temporarily taken down and we will restore them and replace or restore, if possible, the separate tops and bottoms. Hopefully the boxes may need only minor repair. The 2nd floor roofless porch needs new
