They removed the old decking and steps in one day, then replaced the decking, stair stringers, and step decking over the next two days. The vinyl handrails were left intact because they were still in good condition. While replacing them would have been easier, working around the existing handrails required additional customization and skill, which Blue Crab handled without any issues. "The crew that replaced the deck was prompt and did a high quality job. They evidently though did not speak fluent English. The project manager and office manager of Deck Soldier answered all of my questions, but could have done a better job communicating on their own initiative what the crew was planning to do the next day when they left for the day while the job was in progress. All in all, though, we're very pleased with the new deck and I would Deck Soldier an A grade for the job. It was expensive, but you get what you pay for and I would recommend them"

"When the crew came in early November, there were still a lot of leaves still on the trees. To my surprise and delight, they recommended that I wait a few weeks. Well subsequent appointments were rained out, so when they came after Thanksgiving, there were tons of leaves! The crew arrived about 8:30 Saturday morning and cleared the leaves from the yard, sidewalk,  curb and deck in about 21/2 hours.

At the price offered, this was better than a Big Deal, it was an excellent deal!"
