"Evan responded to our inquiry very rapidly and started out with a base mold test to get a normal reading outside and inside and than at the specific spots we had seen mold at or that were wet from prior leaks. The basement tested high for molds that some mold that may aggravate the human body senses and respiratory system. We discussed a plan of action including getting our insurance company involved. Evan even presented himself personally at the time of our insurance adjusters appearance to assess the area in concern. Dri Right is very knowledgeable and straightforward on what has to be done and how to remediate the area in question. Evan did not waste anytime in getting started and working with us within the timeline of finding which items we could keep. One word of caution, in your insurance policy, make sure you have content damage recovery in the mold coverage clause. If you do not they will cover cost of remediation but not the contents and therefore you will have to work on your taxes to see if you can claim a substantial loss of contents. Dri Right Restoration was very concerned and forthright in their dealing and easy to communicate with and take your personal feeling into consideration as well as hard calls one has to make with mold remediation. "I accepted the proposal for the service call on 9/19/08, but not for the French drain installation, due to price. The service call quote was $179, the French drain installation quote was $3895, and the company estimated 6 weeks to perform work at the 8/29 visit. The company called 11/10/08 to see if the service work could be performed that day. No one could be here that day, so we had to decline it. There has been no further contact from the company. 10/30/08 the French drain was installed by another contractor for < 1/3 the Americrawl estimate. When we used Americrawl before, we reported to them, after the work was completed, that their workers had forgotten to return an extension cord they'd borrowed. We got no response."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

They use subcontractors for a lot of the work, but I like that I can call them no matter who did the work and they will handle getting someone to my house if needed. In addition, I called several places on a couple of projects, and they were able to the beat the prices and timeliness of everyone I called, again, I think it's because they have such a good pool of subcontractors."
