"Good! I spoke with Marty and sent him some pictures of the areas in question along with some more pictures of other areas he wanted to see. He consulted with his team and determined that the issues appeared to be of a cosmetic nature rather than foundation issues. He talked to me and explained how they came to that conclusion as well as gave tips on what to look out for and how to prevent foundation issues from forming. He also warned me that other companies might try to sell me a service I don’t really need. Overall, I felt like they provided an honest assessment of the situation and didn’t try to scare or persuade me into buying something I don’t need. Grateful for that. They’ll be at the top of my list if I ever think I do need any of the services they offer."

"I accepted the proposal for the service call on 9/19/08, but not for the French drain installation, due to price. The service call quote was $179, the French drain installation quote was $3895, and the company estimated 6 weeks to perform work at the 8/29 visit. The company called 11/10/08 to see if the service work could be performed that day. No one could be here that day, so we had to decline it. There has been no further contact from the company. 10/30/08 the French drain was installed by another contractor for < 1/3 the Americrawl estimate. When we used Americrawl before, we reported to them, after the work was completed, that their workers had forgotten to return an extension cord they'd borrowed. We got no response."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Overall, they did a good job and were here when promised.  They completed the work quicky. I asked for leaf-less gutters and they provided gutters that were all one piece.  Insurance was involved with paying for the service.  Clean-up could have been a little better as I am still finding nails.  My daughter had to have a patch on her tire just yesterday due to one of the nails."
