"The electrician did a great job installing my ceiling lamp. The original lamp that came with my condo had to be removed, and it had been hung too close to the wall, so it was "off center". The electrician made a new hole in the ceiling after carefully figuring out how far to move it over. He also patched the previous hole in the ceiling. Then he hung up my stained glass lamp. "Brian was extremely professional. He called ahead, and arrived on time for the scheduled estimate walk-thru. He took notes for each of the different fixtures I wanted added in each location, and reviewed them with me at the end of the meeting. He got back to me in less than a week with a fair estimate for the complete job. We hired him for the work, and he scheduled the appointment within two weeks of the initial meeting. He arrived on time the day of the appointment, and had all the equipment and tools needed for the job. My job site needed a little bit of everything, exterior flood lights on the soffits, a new circuit for the bedroom AC, and a new install of a hanging pendant chandelier. Brian and his assistant did all the work in less than 6 hours and were true to their original estimate with no surprises or overages. Brian did a walk-thru with me at the end of the job, and the quality of the work was flawless. I had spoken with two other contractors for the same work and they were unresponsive and difficult to coordinate with. I gave Brian 5 stars across the board because there were no shenanigans, he was prompt, accessible and very professional. "I recently had MDL Electric install a 14 kw Generac automatic standby generator for my home. I chose MDL after talking with three other companies. MDL did the entire job professionally. They obtained all of the permits from Parsippany Town Hall, did the installation in a professional manner, and arranged for all of the final inspections. They installed the gas lines needed along with all electrical work. The other companies wanted me to find my own gas line installer and get all permits. The job was especially difficult since the gas and electrical box was on the opposite sides of the house. Two of the other companies had no idea where to put the generator-one had me tearing up the driveway. I would recommend MDL for electrical work anytime ( they did some other work in addition to the generator)."
