"They are extremely professional, reliable and efficient! I had a number of outlets that needed to be upgraded, additional outlets installed and light fixtures switched out. They did a very nice job. They are also very conscientious about cleaning up behind themselves and respect the homeownersâ vegetation and interior surroundings. I would highly recommend them and plan to hire them once again when the need arises. Plus they are a locally owned small business in St Helens and I prefer to support local businesses to help our economy. Their prices are fair and reasonable too."

"Ideal experience with this company! They contacted me and came out to make the bid the same day I contacted them. They were super flexible and worked to accommodate my schedule. I needed to wait until my EV charger arrived from the manufacturer. They came out the day after it arrived, installed the unit in under two hours, and it's been working flawlessly ever since. Don't let their name fool you--John's Waterproofing is expert at electrical work! I will use them again."

"Excellent. John set to work right away. He worked very fast and was very knowledgeable. He determined a baseboard heater needed replacement and gave options to choose. He had a very complex task with a porch light the had no power only to find the circuit was dead and found a light fixture that was miswired and had burned the insulation off the wire. He repaired it . finding the problem required getting into the attic crawl space to trace where the wires went. I was grateful he found and fixed it as it was dangerous."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesSherwood Electricians are rated 4.7 out of 5 based on 208 reviews of 208 pros.
