"WB Lightning Rods did an excellent job installing lightening rods on our home. The owner stayed onsite the entire time to supervise the work. He took extra care to plan the rod and cable placement to ensure the proper protection and retain the aesthetics of our home. His crew were knowledgeable, polite, neat and efficient. We could not be more pleased with the results."

"Once my walls were furred up, I called and scheduled a date for the electrician to start work on my basement.  As the start date neared, I called Ways Electrical but was unable to get in contact with Mr. Huff because he was continuously unavailable and did not return my calls.  I asked to speak to the owner but was not allowed to.  Eventually I finally got in contact with Mr. Huff and told him I wanted to review my requirements to ensure there wouldn’t be any surprises when the technician arrived.  I even faxed him another copy of my basement layout, which I had initially provided him.  He told me not to worry and since he would no longer be doing the install he was going to send another senior installer.  He said the senior installer would call me to schedule a walk thru of my basement to ensure all my requirements were known prior to the job commencing.  My project start date arrived and the technician arrived.  However, Mr. Huff had not shared my job requirements with him and the technician ad to leave to go and pick up materials.  The technical was very skillful and worked extremely hard.  But, this job was too large for one individual to finish in the one-day Ways Electrical had allocated for my job.  As a result, the technician would leave and I had to call to schedule other appointments for him to return.  I again called and tried to speak with Mr. Way but was unable.  Ways Electrical eventually sent another technician to assist this individual with wiring my HVAC.   As the technician neared completion of my basement, it was time for him to install my whole house surge protector for which I was being charged 600 dollars.  I noticed he installed a Syscom Hardwire Surge Protector in my electrical panel in less than ten minutes.  Subsequently, I researched and found out this model could be purchased new for 69 dollars.  But, in order to receive a certificate of occupancy for my basement I needed to obtain copies of the state licensed sub-contractors who worked on my basement.  I called Ways Electrical and they finally let me speak with Mr. Way about obtaining a copy of his license.  He was rude and abrupt with me.  But, they did eventually send the license to the county office.  Because of being ignored by personnel whey I called Ways Electrical and the harsh tone of Mr. Way, I spoke with the home improvement store manager and submitted a complaint to their complaint office about the unfairness of being charged 600 dollars for 69 dollars surge compressor.   I received superb support from the home improvement store manager who eventually refunded me 600 dollars.  For this I am thankful.  In conclusion, the on-site technician was skillful and professional.  But, it was obvious Mr. Huff did not share any of my requirements with the technician.  In conclusion, this was a very frustrating process.  When I became dissatisfied with Mr. Huff’s support I tried to voice my concern to the owner but was not afforded the opportunity.  Customer service was extremely poor."

FAQs for electrical service projects in Stephens, GA

Always start by confirming the pro’s license number, insurance coverage, and experience level. Visit the electrician’s website, scan recent customer reviews, and verify credentials with your local labor department. Request proof of liability insurance and at least two references that you can contact. These quick checks take only a few minutes but go a long way toward ensuring safe, code-compliant work and protecting your home in the event of an issue.

Grouping several electrical jobs into one appointment means you pay a single service-call fee and one set of travel expenses. Instead of asking a pro to return three separate times for outlets, switches, and fixtures, have everything tackled in one visit. The electrician stays productive, and you avoid extra trip charges, often shaving a sizable chunk off the final bill without compromising quality.

DIY electrical work can be dangerous and, in many areas, illegal without a license. One miswired connection risks shocks, fires, or expensive damage. Licensed electricians carry the right tools, follow local code, and know how to shut down power safely before they start. Hiring a pro may cost more upfront, but it protects your home, family, and insurance coverage in the long run.
