United Electric would not give me an estimate over the phone and was told a technician would provide a free estimate in person. The technician was an hour and a half late (no phone call) and quoted unreasonable cost of $347. I told him that was more than twice what it should cost and declined -upon which he asked for $29 estimate fee. I reminded him this was a free estimate and if they had given me a ball park range over the phone both our time would not have been wasted. I called the second business recommended by Home Advisor and had the fan installed in under an hour for $120."
