"Jerry came out and did a walk through my house.  I had a list of things that I needed help with.  I asked for a special request, I asked if he would show me how to fix the items in my house that needed to be repaired.  Jerry was more than happy for the opportunity.  Together we determined what I could fix on my own, I just needed direction on how, what we would work on together and what he would do while I observed.   
I had him come back out in May to replace the lock on a door and install a ceiling fan.  While he was here I showed him the things that I fixed on my own.  Together we fixed the railing for my basement stairs.  Jerry has given me the confidence to venture out and fix a lot more things on my own.  Being single and a homeowner, this has been most valuable to me.  I also know that if I run into a problem I can send him a message and he will give me advice.  
To my friends, I refer to Jerry as my "Rent-A-Dad."  He is genuine and trustworthy.  I recommend him to anyone and everyone I talk to.  I most definitely will be calling him back out when I'm ready to tackle my next home project.

"Alfredo installed our new Hunter ceiling fan with light kit perfectly. Other Angi contractors we were offered, were only looking to up sell and charged just to get an estimate. They were more like dealing with a corporation than an Electrician. Silver Claw Electric is professional, courteous, reasonably priced, and delightful to have do the job. We would highly recommend Alfredo, who is building a great reputation for himself. Don't even bother with the others!"

"The estimate and scheduling were OK. The installer's seemed knowledgeable, polite, and cleaned up after completion. Unfortunately the installation of the sump basket cap resulted in them breaking several seals on the PVC discharge system. There was a kink in the tubing to the reader gauge which is supposed to show that the attic fan is functioning properly. Radon Removal, Inc was notified and a family emergency kept us out of town until November 2nd. A series of four additional e-mails or voice mails occurred during the following month. Finally the repair was scheduled. Two installers showed up and were done in less than ten minutes. We appreciate that this business is really busy, we have run a three day test and the radon levels are safe now. however. We do feel that they did not respond in a timely way to the very simple problems that they caused during the installation."

"This company has treated me well, especially Mike Museus, who worked over a year (last summer and this spring) to find out why there was a fluid leak in my new AC unit. The leak didn't affect the cooling of my home so I wasn't concerned, but Mike was persistent, even to returning finally with an "expert" to help diagnose the problem. What they found was that the A-coil above the furnace was full of tiny pinholes. On the day this was to be replaced, Steve came before 9 a.m. to remove the defective A-Coil and install the new one. He worked on it all day, without lunch or a break, leaving shortly after 5 p.m. There was no charge, as it was still under warranty. With all that, he still took the time to explain to me why the replacement was so important: that the defective A-Coil could eventually leak enough to damage the furnace below it. Because he was using solder, I believe, to install the new part, he turned on the ceiling fan in the adjacent room to mitigate the fumes. My only complaint is that a few of my vinyl floor tiles were damaged/discolored by the soldering process. That part of the flooring has had water damage before and is missing a few tiles so, after a day of hard work, he may have attributed the damage to work done before. It's not a big deal; I just wish he'd have said something. I have to hand it to Steve, though; he was working by himself, which frequently required him to leave the furnace area to check the outdoor AC unit, then rush back to the indoor work. I think it might have been a two-person job. At least, an assistant could have facilitated some of the work done."
