"Al came out initially on time (early actually!) was exceptionally professional and gave a tiered quote on work that "needs" to be done and "could" be done with fair pricing. We scheduled the work for a later date and Al returned and did a fantastic job! He was punctual (again) and efficient-completing all the agreed upon work in a timely manner. He also plugged a hole in the back of our fireplace we didn't know about until we removed the wood burning stove and filled extra cracks on the chimney after capping it. I would definitely hire him again and have even referred him to some friends and relatives... 5+ stars from a very happy customer!"

"After an extensive process of having different contractors evaluate my home & submit their estimates for the installation of a Bosch tankless boiler/water heater combination unit as well as new baseboard heating, I selected AStar Heating & Cooling. Their staff impressed me from start to finish. Initially, I met Aaron who provided a thorough explanation of how the work would be done, offered other options that I did not know of or considered at the time, and provided a fair estimate that was similar to most of the other contractors. Next, when the time came for the projects to be completed, the technicians, Robert & Trevor, were on point. They always arrived in a timely manner & started working right away. They worked efficiently & quickly to get the projects done in the time frame promised. However, they did not rush, they took pride in their work & made every effort to make sure the work was completed neatly & done properly, as they thoroughly tested out the systems to make sure their were no issues/problems in their setup & performance. They also thoroughly answered my questions about the installation of the new systems as they went about their work. At the end of each workday, they made sure to clean up the job site & were very mindful in not dirtying my new floors by wearing plastic booties whenever they had to walk over them. The Bosch tankless water heater/boiler combination unit has been working without a hitch. I barely notice the difference in the time lag of receiving hot water in comparison to the old 40 gallon tank water heater I previously used. Overall, I highly recommend AStar Heating & Cooling. High quality work done high quality professionals. All of them put my mind at ease on what was a very necessary home improvement project."

"Tim was prompt, 8:00 am appointment, arrived about 6 minutes early. He finished cleaning my Class A stainless steel Insulated double chimney for my indoor woodstove. I called yesterday 1/9/17 and he slotted me in for 8:00 am today 1/10/17. I excepted. Then I canceled the appointment within an hour or so. Home Advisor Representative I called yesterday that I was cancelling as I chose someone closer to my home. Home Advisor Representative said they would cancel it and I didn't need to call Tim back. I scheduled an appointment with in town business where I purchased the stove 4 years ago. Appt set for 11 am today 1/10/17. Tim came on time, did a great job, I paid him and then relit my stove. My stove was seeping smoke into our house at night when I dampened it down for a long over night burn. Last few nights we had to open windows during the middle of the night and I would have to open my damper all the way in order to create the expected draft. Here's the kicker. Tim saw what I was using to clean my chimney, which I did 4 days ago, thus my confusion. I called Home Advisor, they didn't cancel as I requested and Tim came did the job and charged a fair price for 30 minutes of excellent work. My company shows at 11 am on time, confused as to why I thought Tim was them??? Pretty funny, it turns out my companies sub contractor knows my younger son! So of course now I have to get him a six pack. Invited him over this Friday night after work because he didn't get paid. Now I have been waiting for a manger from Home Advisor to call me back for hours. I would be ware of Home Advisor. Just call Tim directly. Save yourself the headache. What a great guy!"
