"It is so pretty and it looks like the pavers were there the whole time. ?The house has been here thirteen years and it just looks so pretty. ?Their price was so good, I extended the project. ?They were really attentive. ?My husband wanted the trash cans in the backyard with pavers all the way into the back yard and down the side. ?I told the guy that came out to give us the estimate that I wanted it parallel to the house perfectly and if it was not, I wanted it all ripped out. ?He said he would tell them. ?I said are you going to be here, he said no. ?I told him he needed to write it down for them. My husband is a very nice man, he will just say yeah, I guess. ?I said I am not. ?It was going to be long and straight. ?It has to be perfect. ?It will drive me crazy, it better be straight. I told him that if you want $6,000 of my money, give me want I want. I won't give you $5,000, but give me what I want. It was perfect."

"This is the second review we write for the Outdoor Xscapes guys. We used Outdoor Xscapes a couple years ago for our first initial project (some basic landscaping with pavers, travertine, lawn, etc), and we contacted them for a second round a few weeks ago, this time to build a bbq, fireplace, and a couple walls. Steve has been our designer for both projects and we could not be happier. The whole process went really smooth, the guys did a great job (the crew was really nice and super clean, and made sure that when they were done they wash the backyard area where they were working at), and completed he project to our desire. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Outdoor Xscapes to anyone looking for a great landscaper. Thank you guys!!"

"Joel, of Iron Home Services, makes sure the job is done to the customer's satisfaction as well as done correctly and thoroughly. Except for the completed project, I couldn't tell he was ever here. Most importantly, he was punctual, and always called before arriving. I will use him again. If you need cabinetry renewed, check him out. You will not be disappointed."

"They were great! Finishing touches were perfect... Finished on-time and also did small other fixes on the fly. I highly recommend them! We wil be using MagCor again for larger projects soon as well. They were also very honest and open about options and what did not really need to be updated."

"Joe and his crew (German, Jose, & Julio) did a super amazing job on my outdoor kitchen, and installing pavers on the complete side of my house. Meticulously built and detailed. I could not have been more pleased and Joe is very responsive and flexible. I will definitely use him again on future projects . Highly recommended! I wish I could post a picture here of their work, it came out beautiful. Thanks Joe !"

Start with a professional inspection. If damage is limited to a few bricks or the crown, a targeted repair helps keep costs and disruption to a minimum. Severe leaning, widespread mortar failure, or major fire damage usually signals it’s time for a complete teardown and rebuild. Your contractor will outline both price tags, but remember that rebuilding a failing stack is often cheaper than repeated patch jobs and the water leaks or fire hazards they allow.
Cracks provide water with an easy path into the masonry, weakening the bricks and mortar and increasing the risk of collapse or fire. Gaps can also let hot gases and sparks escape into attic spaces. Call a chimney pro as soon as you see cracking so they can seal small joints or recommend a larger rebuild before minor damage turns into a costly emergency.
Smoke rolling back into the room often indicates a blocked flue, a broken damper, or a drafting issue. Have a sweep inspect the damper, flue liner, and any obstructions right away. Most fixes involve clearing debris, repairing the liner, or adjusting the damper so the fireplace pulls air correctly. Don’t light another fire until a professional pinpoints the cause and confirms your system is venting safely.
Most policies cover chimney repairs caused by a sudden, covered event, such as lightning, a fallen tree, or a house fire. They won’t cover damage that stems from neglected maintenance or everyday wear. Review your policy or contact your agent before scheduling work to determine what documentation your insurer requires and what costs you will be responsible for.
Component life spans vary. Clay tile or cast-in-place liners last close to 50 years, while stainless-steel liners last 15 to 20 years. Mortar requires attention every 25 to 30 years, while crowns last 50 to 75 years. Use these numbers as a maintenance roadmap: schedule regular inspections, budget for future upgrades, and replace parts before age-related cracks develop into more significant problems.
