He tore out an old tile floor and two more layers beneath the tile. Then he installed the new LVT and the fit between the planks is so tight and level that it looks completely seamless. And the price for all this was more than fair. I am telling everyone I know about Josh's wonderful work. I would encourage you to call Josh before you do your next floor replacement. Every phase of the project from removing the carpet, weaving in the new wood with the old floors, sanding, filling in the poors to final finish was done with exceptional attention to detail and professionalism. They demonstrated great patience as I waffled on the floor finish and walked me through the merits of going with a satin or semi-gloss top coat. The results were exactly what I wanted. Stain was a perfect complement to the stairs and cabinets. My biggest concern was not being able to tell where the new wood ended and the old wood floor started. It looks like it was all installed at the same time. I cannot recommend With the Grain Professional strongly enough."
