"Excellent!! Javier and his co-workers did a fantastic job. Javier worked with me to order the exact amount of material from a vendor out of state. We could not find the type of wood I wanted here. They were punctual, efficient, and their craftsmanship was outstanding. Javier and his team were friendly and respectful. They came in and removed the old engineered wood and carpet and did so quickly and began the installation the next day. We had to stagger the install of the stairs because the materials for the stairs did not arrive until the next week. He was accommodating of the delay with no problems. I would Highly recommend Monteros Hardwood to install you hardwood floors."

"Angel removed carpet in our house and he did an excellent job. We had hardwood floors under the carpet. He carefully and efficiently removed the carpet, padding and all of the staples from the wood. He worked very hard and nonstop for hours. Our floors look amazing! I highly recommend Angel."

"Scott was professional & polite & conscientious.
Sadly enough, I think some of the Angie's List providers are aggravated when they come out, due to high responses and possibly getting paid less than they would like. This was not the case with Scott. He let the finish dry amply between coats and didn't act rushed. The floor is old and was stripped of its original finish and Scott worked h****** getting a nice sheen back on it. He did some minor repairs on the floor too, without charging extra. The floor looks much better after Scott worked his magic.

"All original wood floors except bathrooms and kitchen had been covered with carpet for over 50 years with some pet stains by door ways. They were able to sand stains and carpet glue and cover every staple hole . The wood floors look brand new and are gorgeous!!! Very hard workers and knowledgeable about their trade their professionalism was reassuring during process."

"Byron showed up on the agreed date / time to begin the work. He first helped me move the large furniture out of the room, and then he removed the existing carpeting and pad. After that, he prepared the concrete for the new flooring. Once the concrete was ready he installed the vapor barrier and then the insulation layer... and then the floor. Byron planned the layout so the wood patterns were optimal. To save me money, he was careful not to damage the existing molding. Lastly he installed the 1/4 round shoe base to cover any space between the existing molding and the floor. The final step was the install of the T-molding at the doorways. Byron's effort to provide an excellent outcome was very much appreciated. I am extremely happy with the outcome. He's a professional that takes pride in his work."

"Install or Completely Replace Wood Flooring"

"We received several bids on the work we needed done. Mario Diaz Flooring was not the cheapest bid and not the most expensive. We chose them because of their ratings and the confidence Mario had that we would love the end product. Our situation was not just refinishing original hardwood floors, putting adding a brand new 300 square foot oak floor with a 70-year-old existing oak floor that flow together. When we pulled up the carpet, we had a lot of stains in the wood, some fresh and wet from my daughter's dog when they visit us, which I was not aware existed. I was amazed that Mario’s crew got all the stains out and the new room they added matched the old oak floors so well. They did a beautiful job. They showed up everyday and completed the job in a timely manner. The crew worked very hard and were very polite. A few companies that quoted the project seemed to make a big deal about adding a brand new room with the original oak flooring we had. Mario assured us we would be happy with the end product and gave us confidence in his craftsmanship. He said our floors will look pretty much the same because he uses solid oak similar to what was used in the 1950s (newer but oak). He uses a process to age the wood to help it match the original. We were amazed how the floors matched up so perfectly. They laid it down piece-by-piece (no fake wood or prefab material). We absolutely love the look of our new floors. I will never cover up these beautiful wood floors with carpet ever again. I encourage people to get multiple bids and have conversations with the companies. It is time consuming but worth the effort or just skip them all and call Mario Diaz' company. If you get multiple bids, you will figure out fast who is taking advantage and highballing the project."
