"We had vinyl flooring installed throughout our house. The crew removed the old carpet, baseboards and some tile. They installed new baseboard and flooring. Javier's crew did a FANTASTIC JOB! The price was very reasonable, and it was easy to communicate with Javier. We were told what time the crew would arrive and how long it would take to complete the work. After the flooring was installed, the crew cleaned up and didn't leave a mess on the floor. they are very friendly and nice. "I experienced a water leak in my home due to a cracked water hose that damaged the flooring and walls in 4 different rooms. After having another company handle mitigation, I contacted Carlos about painting partial walls and using some of my existing flooring that I've had since the initial job 7 years ago, as well as some new carpet and vinyl planks. I knew before contacting him that it is much harder to match existing paint and flooring than doing it all new. I'm beyond happy with all the work and results performed by Carlos and crew. He had a highly skilled crew for each of the 3 different jobs (paint, vinyl, carpet). The color matching exceeded my expectations. I can't see any paint difference in any of the rooms even though they did not paint full walls. I did need new carpet for a walk-in closet, and the match is so close to the existing that it certainly doesn't bother me at all. "The Good:
   COMMUNICATION:  Serj was quick to call me and set up an appt. He quickly sent a contract. His communication was clear. The guys came when they said they would. There were problems with the sloppiness of the work and Serj sent a member of his team out to fix them later.

The Bad:
   POOR JUDGMENT:  They put the carpet roll on the street in front of my neighbor's house which is right next to the car gate entrance of the neighborhood. I told the guys to use my driveway to cut the carpet, but they didn't. 5 hours later, it was still in front of my neighbor's house and I had to drag it away from there myself.
   SLOPPY:  The job took longer than I think they estimated. The guys were here almost 12 hours and by then end they were just trying to be fast and get out. This made them sloppy. They hacked many of my newly painted baseboards with the metal tool used to tuck in the carpet. There is also a gap that can fit my fingers between the carpet and many of the baseboards. The seams in most rooms were very visible. They didn't even tuck the carpet in on all sides of most steps on the staircase.

Conclusion:
    Communication is really important. The team is not as detailed as I think they should be, but they are willing to fix the problems if you point them out. Serj wants to do a good job.

"We had many quotes and Mike Pillar was certainly not the lowest, but we'd read great things from Angies list. We couldn't be happier. From the beginning Wendy (the saleslady) was very patient with showing us everything she thought appropriate to our tastes. After many samples back and forth to our home, we were finally ready. Mike came to the house, measured everything, and took special notice of kitchen/bathroom transitions plus a weird fitting french door we had just installed. Our specific flooring was on back order so we had to wait 4 weeks for it to come in, which it did right on time.
For the install, day one was carpet removal, grinding old tar off the concrete and floor leveling. Everything was covered and a few heavy objects were moved to the garage. Days two and three were actually laying the wood. The crew answered my many questions and took special care to make the room transitions flush, as opposed to putting in those wood risers that people trip over. The areas around the french doors really look great.
A couple days later we noticed an unforeseen problem and the next day they were back and fixed it in a jiffy. No problems found since. I installed the baseboards myself so I can't comment on what type of job they do on those. Compliments keep pouring in from our friends and neighbors so we won't hesitate to recommend them in the future.

"Beau and his crew installed a new prefinished wood floor in my dining room, entry way, living room and family room. In a few short years, the floor is scratched, dented and floor boards are loose. We have contacted them more times than I can count. Most of the time there is never a call back or when an appointment is set a no show. This is not the way a business should be run. I would think twice about hiring them. I know I am in the minority, but truth is truth. UPDATE: Beau contacted us and his crew came out promptly completing all necessary repairs."
