In 2015 Josh was working on a cell phone towers in Chicago IL when he received a phone call from his brother in law that would change his life. His brother-in-law was a flooring installer with a growing business and needed an extra hand. Josh left his job and began working with his brother-in-law in Indianapolis IN. Shortly thereafter Josh started on his own as a flooring installer, receiving jobs from individuals and flooring retailers like EF Marburger Fine Flooring, Keller Interiors, and The Rug Gallery. For a time Josh worked for Indianapolis Floor Store as a PM where he rounded out his experience in the industry working with vendors, installer crews, and learning to grow a company through a pandemic. But in 2021 when Josh's wife was became pregnant Josh quit his job in order to better provide for his growing family and recreated J Michael Flooring as a retail store! Now his own brother works with him as a PM and the company strives to grow in it's community daily.
