"The main floor of our house had red oak hardwood flooring in some areas and carpeting in others. We contracted with JB's to refinish the existing hardwood floors (including the kitchen, where the old finish was damaged) and replace the carpeting with hardwood in the three carpeted rooms. John clearly explained the process and options to us, and we chose to use the water-based Traffic commercial finish system, rather than using the previous oil-based system, which had left us with dark, orangeish floors. We wanted a more natural look, plus we wanted to protect our high-traffic kitchen as much as possible. We were delighted with the results. The new floors are lighter and more natural looking and match the refinished flooring beautifully. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the finish dried and how quickly the light chemical smell disappeared.
