We had original white oak floors under all the carpet and laid new red oak floors in the rooms that did not have hardwood (not knowing the other floors were white oak). They also cut in heating vents and flush mounted vent covers and repaired a few damaged boards we had. We went with the Invisible 2 step hardener finish. It all turned out so beautiful!
