"We noticed some cracking on our outside walls and separation on our front steps. We realized that this is a common problem in Colorado due to the poor composition of the soil. So we recently secured the foundation of our home with Groundworks. First, let me point out that stabilizing the foundation of your home can be a daunting undertaking. It is also one of the most responsible ways to perserve the equity in your property. Groundworks has a reputation for excellence in preparation, execution, and problem-solving in foundation work. But we had never had to address this level of home renovation and the extensive landscaping in our yard complicated the scope of our project. While we were concerned about our project's complexity, we were extremely relieved at the high level of knowledge, competence, communication, customer service, and professionalism awarded to us by the Groundworks foundation team. Our foreman Clem, and his team (Luis, Noah, Ran, and Rokk) literally went above and way beyond our expectations to explain next steps, listen to us, problem-solve, and execute a solution to every concern we raised. Clem was a constant and reassuring presence on-site, informing us continually throughout the process to ensure our level of confidence and understanding. As he put it, "I am here to take care of you." He meant that, and he certainly did. We can enthusiastically state that working with, and completing our foundation project with Groundworks was a GREAT experience!"

"We did a lot of research prior to hiring Thrasher and we were not disappointed. Frankly I had been in denial (and fear) about the work I knew we needed done on our Midtown Omaha home because I was so concerned about the cost and impact on our brick Tudor. We had a crack in the brick near our garage and our basement had been leaking for a number of years with hard rains. From the start of the process, Thrasher was outstanding in terms of communication and education about what they do. Before we met with our Systems Design Specialist, Anthony, we had received e-mails and calls to confirm the date, along with a packet of educational materials about home foundations and waterproofing. He prepared an estimate and we selected what was best for us following a thorough review of options he presented. The foundation work was completed first in ONE day. The basement waterproofing was completed the next week over a two-day time frame. The workers were very professional and arrived at the time they arranged with us. Alejandro and his crew did an excellent job in repairing our foundation and getting the chimney back against the side of the house like it used to be before the foundation shifted. Due to shade, dog damage, etc., our back yard had turned into a mud yard.  The grass had thinned or died, and the soil had then eroded away.  Penton?s team added a few of inches of soil and then covered the soil with sod.

I first want to praise the Penton team for showing up when they said they would and doing what they agreed to do.  My back yard was transformed from mud yard to thick lawn.  My only complaint is with the damage done to my front yard while moving soil and sod to the back yard.  I understand that some damage is inevitable, but the other landscapers that I have seen put boards down to limit the heavy equipment damage.  Penton?s team instead put down narrow sod patches to cover the tracks left by their track steer.  This left a very uneven patch of lawn, with high tracks where the sod was set bordered by low ?barrow pit? areas.  Friends and neighbors have literally tripped due to the very uneven strips.  I don?t know how the damage can be repaired without stripping, leveling, and then re-sodding the area.

I?m very thankful for the work that John?s team did for us, but I get a little angry every time I mow the damaged area.
