"I wanted to follow up my earlier post now that the job has been completed. The work to be done, our house was built in 1968 and there was a gap between the basement wall and the foundation that needed to be filled. We also needed to encapsulate the space. We were in the process of selling our home, and this issue came up in the home inspection. As anyone who has bought or sold a home this summer knows, we found out all the contracting firms are booked solid. We offered to work with the buyer, making repairs after close via escrow, but the buyer rejected and the offer was withdrawn. We decided to go through with the repairs recommended in the inspection report, including the work listed for the crawl space before relisting. We were concerned we would end up in the same situation, unable to make repairs in the inspection report. We had already purchased our new home and were carrying two mortgage payments. Another delay to close would be expensive. As mentioned earlier, Marty from Advantage Restoration was able to inspect and provide us an estimate for the work needed within days of our call. The owner of the Advantage, Mike Bird, called me directly to work out the schedule. Advantage Restoration was booked up, but our job was a smaller one, so they were able to fit our project between other projects. The work was started at the scheduled date and was completed in 2 days, as estimated. All work was done as specified on the estimate, and the final cost matched the estimated cost. The work itself looked great. The work crew explained the work and each step in the process to completion. The final result, we relisted the house and received a new offer. After inspection, there were no remediation items listed by the buyer, including the crawl space, and we are moving straight to closing. Mission accomplished! "Tommy and his team did a great job on our chimney! Once it finally stopped raining Tommy and his crew got to work and finished in a reasonable amount of time. Anytime I texted Tommy he would respond answering any questions I had. His work was top notch, rebuilt the crown (which looks bomb proof) and cut out the brick mortar out down to the roof line. Tuck pointed and painted my chimney. Not single drop of water has come in since he finished his work. They cleaned up all materials afterwards too! Really pleased that we hired Tommy Mattingly Masonry, I will be using him again in the future for any of my masonry needs."

"Josh and the team did a really big job for us last week. They encapsulated our large crawl space, treated wood for mold, installed a sump pump, filled multiple cracks in our foundation, added two drainage systems to the exterior of our house and even cleared out the original drainage pipes in our retaining wall. It was a lot of work and I couldn't be happier that we decided to go with General Waterproofing. We had several quotes from other companies, some much more expensive, but Josh was the only one that actually discovered WHY we had water in our crawlspace and created a plan to tackle that problem. Going with the company that wasn't just putting a bandaid on the situation and was reasonably priced was no-brainer. Also, a number of the other companies were really aggressive and fear-mongered- I did not get that feeling from General Waterproofing at all.
