"I spent months getting multiple estimates for my home foundation. I had some relatively sudden movement due to poor soil, erosion and drainage. The problem attracted as many different solutions to fixing as the number of companies that came out to assess it. Then I called TX Foundation experts. Ben came out and gave me an honest assessment. "If you need Foundation Repair - I cannot recommend Firm Foundation Repair enough! Mason Birdwell and his crew did an AMAZING job! We reached out to several companies to do the repairs and the prices were about 16K to 20K+. We also got back so many different variations in what companies wanted to do - that we finally hired an Independent Engineer to do the Engineering Report and Drawings <Sandeep Nallagula, P.E - sandeep@rokitsolutions.com> and decided to determine our bids on that singular report. We contacted James Mason Birdwell @ Firm Foundation Repair <www.firmfoundationdfw.com / office@firmfoundationdfw.com / 972-639-3790> and he gave us an INCREDIBLY competitive bid for 26 Exterior Piers, 9 Exterior Concrete Breakouts, 5 Interior Piers, Post-job Engineer Report, Post-job Plumbing Test, & Lifetime Transferable Warranty. He was also going to be able to come out during a timeframe that worked for us and was exceptionally responsive. Also note he is a registered contractor with the City of Carrollton as required and was issued a permit for the work. His crew came out on Jan 10th and started the work. They were amazing and efficient. We had two plumbing issues (~ $450) that were resolved quickly and to our satisfaction (we could have gotten a plumber, or they would call one - we let them use who they were familiar with). They wrapped up the work on Wednesday January 12th, 2022 by 4:10 PM. You can see from the pictures they cleaned up EVERYTHING! They got rid of the excess dirt from all the digging they had to do. IMO, they left my yard looking BETTER than it did BEFORE they started. They also took care of filling in cracks we had/or occurred in our bricks and other outdoor areas. Do not let lack of reviews deter you. When I did my research there were only five reviews available. I was concerned about this; however, additional research revealed his previous employer and glowing reviews regarding his work by other customers."

"We live on a corner lot and have a rather involved landscape with several flower beds, including one extremely long one. There are a lot of plant materials in our landscape or different varieties. For a number of reasons, I have not been able to maintain the landscaping for the past two years. I realized that I wasn't likely to have the time to do it this year, either. In the meantime, everything had just gone wild, and all the shrubs were in need of serious pruning and reshaping. To make matters worse, shortly after Lon came to give me the original bid, we had a 12-1/2 snowstorm that damaged two large shrubs (really more like small trees---a wax myrtle and a cherry laurel that were 8 years old) beyond repair. So we had to add removal of those two items to our original plan. Lon stayed in touch with me as he worked to complete two other jobs that had been delayed because of the snow. We finally hit upon the opportunity to get started. He and his crew arrived promptly at the appointed time on Friday. There were 3 or 4 men that day, and they worked very hard all day. They came back the next day with Lon's son and another guy and worked several more hours. When they finished, everything was left in great shape, all the plant materials that had been cut off of shrubs and trees were hauled away, including a pile that my husband had stacked on the curb when removing some of the wax myrtle branches that had broken away from the snow event. All in all, everything looks back in control. I am planning to have Lon do some regular maintenance throughout the year for me, and I also expect to hire him to resod areas of the lawn that died because of excessive shade from some of the shrubs and the redbud, and maybe even to plant some as-yet-undetermined large shrub to replace the "hole" in the landscape caused by the removal of those major elements that were damaged from the snow event. He does a great job and is wonderful to work with. He is great fun to talk to, he is punctual for appointments, he communicates regularly to stay in touch until the work can get done, and he cares about his work."
