"First of all, this guy is a certificated ARBORIST! He knows trees!  This was very important to me.  I didn't want "some guy with a chainsaw" to tell me the trees had to come down.  
After looking over the trees and their location, he told me that the trees would continue their secondary growth and that growth would push up the pavers in the yard, and even if the pavers were reinstalled the secondary growth would push them up again over time.  He gave me some options to consider.
He is based out of central Orange County and because of distance, he declined to do work in Bellflower which was disappointing.

"Wes and his crew have worked with us before (May 2016 - see prior review ) so our expectations were high based on the prior high-quality experience. They exceeded our high expectations in terms of quality and time to get the job done. His description of his company states 'we build your dreams' and this could not be more accurate. We thought about this space for quite some time and had very specific requests about building materials (we wanted Ipe hardwood and particular stones and particular lights and a particular avocado tree!). He took our poorly drawn sketch and turned it into our dream side yard. Turned out as we expected only the color of the wood really pops and looks amazing against the rock. As with the last job, he pays attention to all of the unseen structural details - the stepping stones are all cemented in and level, the planters - while appearing to be above ground - are all anchored and level. This team really does pay attention to detail and doesn't just throw things together. I have to say - I did not even bother getting a competing bid because our prior experience with Wes was so great and we are so happy with the quality of the work. We'll have him out one more time for a final project we have planned in a year or two - have to dream it up! I told Wes he is always welcome to use our yard as a 'reference' - it is a dream come true space."

They put in new driveway (with pavers) and pedestrian staircase, new landscaping with mature trees, new lighting and electrics, new IPE hardwood fencing. Couldn't be happier with their work. "While they were up there cleaning the gutters they told me about the deterioration of all the sealants on the air vents, the chimney and exhaust fans on the roof. They took pictures and showed me and I had them redo all the sealants. I have a feeling that that was a smart way for them to get some more work (most people aren't aware of the damage the Ca sun can do). It was the owner of the company and his son that did all the work and they were clean, pleasant and professional. When the 1st rains came after the work was done I suddenly remembered a small leak we had had in our bathroom and IT WAS NO LONGER THERE!! I was very happy with the work they did and would definitely recommend using them."
