"We recently had problems with one of our old automatic garage doors; it somehow got off track, was all askew and we were unable to shut it. We had been dissatisfied with the previous automatic garage door repair company we used so did some web research and Duplouy Enterprises, Dover, NH came up the strong winner based on reviews on Google, Angie’s List and Home Advisor, so we called Duplouy. Roger came by, played with the door a bit and said it only needed lubrication and then it worked like a charm. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter the door started acting up again (our doors are pretty old) and we were unable to shut it. I called Roger and he said he’d come by that evening to take a look and at least shut it for us so the garage would be secure. It was too late in the day to fix it, so basically, he came to assess the problem and shut the door for us. We really appreciated that. This time, one of the cables was totally twisted and he returned the next day to replace the cable. We were impressed with Roger and felt he was extremely knowledgeable—no comparison to the two doofuses we used previously from another local automatic garage door company. Repair costs were very reasonable too. We highly recommend this company."

I accepted the offer and Allen showed up at 8:00am. I have a two-car garage and one side the door opener was old and dead and other side I needed the replacement of springs and cables with pulleys for the safety. Allen agreed with me and gave me the good price. We made a deal. He went back to get the parts and Allen & his partner finished the work very efficiently well before 10am. "Chris took my rough design, refined it and used his drawing for permitting and as a guide for subcontractors. Chris supervised excavation the foundation pour, utility connections and a variety of specialty contractors including plumbing and electrical, wallboard and plaster including the a very nice ceiling, windows and roofing. He did all the framing, rough and finish carpentry, flooring including tile, himself. There was no element of the build where he wasn’t intimately involved. Chris was considerate of my ideas, and enhanced and often expanded on the them. He was conscious of my budget and stretched my dollars without sacrificing quality. Two years later when a sliding door seal failed he replaced the door at no charge. My home is modest but “feels” bigger and more expensive than what it was. It is open concept with a lot of natural light. It takes advantage of passive solar heating and with my wood stove this 1800 square foot house makes it through the coldest winter without turning on the gas heat yet only consumed two cords of wood! It’s too bad Chris moved to the coast, contractors with integrity and skill are not easy to find. Our community’s loss, is Coastal Maine’s gain. I would be happy to recommend Chris to anyone in need of his many skills."
