"Thank you Damian Douglas Garage Door Service! My mom's torsion spring broke on a Sunday night, leaving her door stuck in the open position. Unfortunately, she called another company who responded and quoted her $1,000 for the installation of a spring conversion kit. Not wanting to pay $1,000, she asked that tech if he could simply get the garage door closed until she could shop around. He said he could and charged her $240 to cut two cables and lower the door ($99 was the after-hours response fee which was fair). Not knowing any better, she paid it so her garage wasn't open all night. Luckily, my mom contacted Damian Douglas Garage Door Repair the next morning and he stated he would install the conversion kit for $275, parts and labor-only $35 more than the other company charged her for cutting two cables! "GDR responded within an hour of my request for a quote.  Dar arrived promptly and asked me to explain what was wrong with the garage door.  I told him about how the door makes loud cracking noises when it's opened or closed and how the chain clanks while operating.  He then inspected the garage door thoroughly and advised me there was nothing seriously wrong with it, it just needed a tune up and maintenance.  And what a pleasant surprise, when I asked a couple of questions about some related items, he went above and beyond the tune up/maintenance and took care of those items also...without charging me extra!  Nowadays, it is so difficult to find knowledgable, honest, and reliable services here in Las Vegas so I was thrilled to find a company with all of these qualities.  I will refer them to my family and friends without hesitation."
