"The floor looks incredible. He also did some drywall repair and painted the room. The work was done fast and everything was cleaned up nicely when they were finished. Highly recommended!"

"John Mosby the owner of Reliable Garage Doors was awesome. Extremely helpful and serviced my door when he was told by Choice Home Warranty they would not cover my request. He could have just said sorry and left."

"I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have their concrete resurfaced. I was extremely impressed with their attention to detail...replaced caulking between brick and patio, rolled back grass at patio edge rather than just digging it up, and blew out my carport and window sills to remove concrete dust they'd generated. Floyd says he treats all jobs as if he was doing them at his own home and it shows. The price was extremely reasonable for the amount of time/effort they put into the job and the job was completed timely."

"We were very pleased to hear from Mr. Henderson within 1 business day of emailing him. He came that same day to look over work request. We chose replacement fans and let him know we had them. It took a few days for him to come back to re-evaluate the exact needs for replacing the garage door opener as garage is small and ceiling is low. Mr. Henderson and a colleague came on the day agreed upon and did all of the work in 6-7 hours.
We were pleased with the work done. And, we felt the estimate was fair. We thought Mr. Henderson had to work longer than he estimated, but he did NOT charge us any more, which we noticed and appreciated!

"The garage itself was great. There were issues with the site management and dealing with water runoff. Did not work well with the electrician or the paving company that was to do the driveway."

"I hired Richard's LLC. for two separate jobs. One was to apply an epoxy coating to the two-car garage with base molding. In three days his crew came early and totally transformed a cracked and dirty concrete floor into a beautiful smooth surface that is easy to sweep and clean. The second job was to coat the long patio in front of the house, which had a carpet glued to it for over 30 years. The crew removed the old carpet and prepped the surface, filling several cracks. This was completed in three days. At each step of the way, the installing crew kept us informed of what they were doing and kept the area cleared of any debris daily. The final outcome of both jobs was absolutely AWESOME. The office staff worked with us on all scheduling issues and was a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend Richards LLC for any epoxy coating jobs you may be thinking of."

"The garage door opener needed a part that took almost a month to arrive. Fridge and dishwasher also got few weeks before they were actually repaired."

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.
Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.
A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.
Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.
A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.
Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.
If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
