"They were so helpful. From beginning Gayland helped with gettin everything we needed and set a timeframe that was they kept. Answered all of my question and returned phone call quickly. The Patrick snd Adam did an awesome job in taking out old and putting in new door. There were a few wiggles in getting it to work. But they got it all figured out and the door looks great! Cleaned up afterwards. Very happy with their work. Would definitely recommend them."

Small jobs welcome

"First, we appreciate working with young entrepreneurs. Ty was exceptional. His quote exceeded above the others. There was no need to go back and worth.. We didn’t have the time or desire to do so with his competitors. Ty updated us each step along the way. They were polite/respectful, and punctual, They removed the pine tree, filled the hole and removed all remaining branches. We could not be happier. Finding young, reliable people can be stressful but not with Ty. We will certainly recommend him to family and friends. We understand his scope of services and will not hesitate to use him again, if needed. It’s most unfortunate I cannot upload before and after. If there’s another way, please advise."

FAQs for garage and garage door service projects in Perrysburg, OH

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.

Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.

A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.

Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.

A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.

Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.

If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
