"Exceeded my expectations from the start. Caleb Garver was on time. He efficiently explained what systems would work well in our house. The installers arrived the next day on schedule. Fernando and his co-installer were efficient, worked in horrible heat. The outdoor temperature was 105+. Fernando explained everything and showed us how to use the thermostat and change the filters. Then a senior technician, Robert, came and did a complete inspection and sign off of the job. Because of the outstanding experience with the quote/sale and installation, we were comfortable getting the maintenance plan. We highly recommend Emergency Air."

"They were just topnotch.  They did a fabulous job.  They gave me the best service.  They did not cheat me.  They gave me a very reasonable price.  They were on time.  They were jolly on the spot.  It was the first time and I was very impressed with them.  The owners name is Heath Thomas.  They did a major job on my air conditioning.  They did a finisher job that somebody else couldn't.  I had been quoted by another air conditioning company over $1000.  I called Arctic because they had done some work for my daughter on a condo in Phoenix.  They had totally replaced an air conditioner on that condo.  They did a great job for them and it was totally within reasonable means of that air conditioner.  I called them up and they came right over to fix my air conditioner.  Their price was so much less than over $1000 which was quoted to me by the people that I first called up.  They were A1.  They were just top."

"Heath and his team are exceptional. They promptly responded to phone calls, showed up on time, and performed the work in a professional and efficient manner. You will get an honest assessment from Heath. He will not try to oversell or add in things that you don't need. After receiving quotes from 4 different contractors (2 large/2 small), Heath's Air was the best value by far. There was never any sales pressure and they answered every question I had before making my decision. I had a complete HVAC system replacement as my previous one was about 25 years old. They came in, did their job, kept me informed of their progress, and made sure everything was working properly before finishing up the job. In my experience, I have found that the owner, Heath, is quite knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy. Overall, the work went very well!"

"I explained the situation to the repairman, and he quickly went to work..  He found the oven's circuitry drawing and determined there was a reset button.  After removing the back from the stove, he was unable to access the button.  He replaced the back panel and entered the stove from the front panel.  After tripping the reset button, the stove began heating.  No parts were needed.

"These are hard times to be purchasing HVAC systems because of severe shortages of equipment and parts. Be ready for substitutes and delays. If possible postpone major systems purchases until our supply lines are more certain."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Gila Bend, AZ

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
