"High humidity problem. System was not set correctly when installed around 3,5 years ago. Have had Florida Breeze out for maintenance and they have added refrigerant twice which has cost me around $1,300. This diagnostic visit was to find and repair the system errors. Tech to return in. Few weeks at no chg to make sure it is working properly after the changes."

"They are the best contractors we have ever used for any home repair. Michael and Tom were very personable and explained everything in detail. We never felt questionable about anything. As far as we are concerned, they went way beyond what any other would have done for the cost. We had the whole air system replaced and major duct work done and we couldnâ t be happier. I just wish they didnâ t only do air and heat, we would hire them for everything!!! Please consider them for your next home air system, you wonâ t be disappointed."

"I WANT TO THANK JAMES AND HIS STAFF, FROM JL MIDAS BREATHE KLEEN AIRE FOR THE EXCELLENT WORK INSTALLING MY NEW HVAC SYSTEM. JAMES RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY TO MY REQUEST FOR HELP AND IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM WITH MY HVAC SYSTEM, WHICH WAS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD AND WAS INSTALLED BY A COMPANY THAT WAS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. HE IMMEDIATELY ASSESSED WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND WHAT THE SOLUTION WOULD BE. I FOUND HIM TO BE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL, AS WELL AS, FRIENDLY AND PERSONABLE, ANSWERING MY NUMEROUS QUESTIONS. HIS STAFF WORKED LONG HOURS IN UNBEARABLE HEAT. THEY WERE ALWAYS COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY. JAMES HANDLED ANY OBSTACLE THAT OCCURRED IN A POSITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. I FOUND HIS PRICE TO BE WITHIN REASON FOR THE SCOPE OF THE WORK THAT WAS NEEDED TO BE DONE. HE ALSO HANDLED ALL THE PAPER WORK AND WARRANTEES FOR THE NEW SYSTEM. I WOULD RATE HIM â 5 STARS â AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. HE IS A GREAT RESOURCE PERSON TO KNOW FOR CONTACTS TO VARIOUS TRADESMEN IF YOU EVER NEED THEM. FINALLY, I WANT TO THANK HIS WIFE LAURIE FOR THE DELICIOUS COOKIES. JL MIDAS BREATHE KLEEN AIRE IS TRULY A FAMILY BUSINESS."

"HVAC system went out and needed a new one on short notice. Team Enoch responded the same day and were out 2 days later to replace the HVAC system. Installation was done meticulously and with great care and the price was very fair. We paid about $6000 for a 4 ton American Standard (aka Trane) system. The first company that quoted me estimated $8900 for the exact same system and undoubtedly lower quality of work (Abundant Air Condition and Heating). Miles was my point of contact and did not try to push a sale and encouraged me to do some research for myself. Overall great experience, will definitely call again if anything else comes up with my electrical/plumbing. *This review was migrated from an affiliated account on Angi with an original submission date of 7/27/2019."

"Two friendly guys Vince and Bob came out early morning and helped me out with my HVAC unit repair. The fan wasn't spinning and a loud buzzing noise was coming from the unit. They quickly identified the problem and replaced my capacitors and my fan motor. Getting the replacement was quicker than expected, and installation when smooth as can be. Our AC is working fine again! I highly recommend MekTek to take care of your AC repair needs."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Melbourne Beach, FL

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
