"Great job. Anthony did a complete review of the house and the current venting and recommended the proper size for the AC. The installers and electricians came 3 days later, did additional wiring and piping and installed the entire system in 5 hours."
Using the sewer camera to inspect the inside of a customer's drains
Camera inspection through a sewer vent on a customer's roof
Hydro jet uses water at 4,000psi to clean the inside of the mainline drain which connects all the home's drains to the city's sewer system.
Using a snake we can go through the cleanouts on the side of the house.
With the cleanouts snaked, and the blockage located, we can send the hydro jet through the sewer vent and flush out the blocked drain.

"I called California Attic for my Insualtion project and they were stellar! Didn’t know what type of insualtion would be best for my home and their technician Sean was so good at explaining to me my options. I went ahead with the cellulose and I couldn’t be happier with the result! My home is so much more stable now and I feel like I’m never turning on the air. Couldn’t recommend this team more! Thank you Sean and the California Attic team"

"Tarpy was recommended to me by an electrical contractor I trust. Scott spent the time needed to go over all options for repairing or replacing my old system. I decided to go with a full replacement, and to install new mini-split systems throughout the house. Bowen did a great job working through some tough challenges to work the cleanest install possible. We needed to make a few changes to the install plan along the way and, to his credit, the owner, Broc, stepped up and worked out a fair way to get the job done and done right. Jessica was patient and thorough with the followup paperwork. All in all, a great team, I highly recommend Tarpy, they're an honorable team that delivers on what they promise to do."

"They came and did what I asked for. They had to return a second time since they didn't have the right type of freon for my a/c /heat pump unit. I wish they had mentioned that it would be good to inspect ALL of the system, including the heat pump part, which they didn't do."

"That was fine. It was cool. hey came and did the energy scan and they pitched their products which was way out of price range. It was good to find out where we had our little heat and chronic leak. They did it for the $39 big deal cost. The price was really good. If I needed another energy scan, I would use them in the future. I would consider them in the future. They're expensive for what they actually do but the energy scan was a really good deal."

"I absolutely recommend Alanis Air to my friends and neighbors. They are a local, family-owned, family-centric business that knows their stuff. Tony did a great job eying out our 1961 Clairemont house and gave us an all-inclusive price. Their competitors would have charged an extra change-order to replace the 60 year old ducts for sure. Two days after shaking hands, the installers replaced our heater, added the new A/C unit, replaced the air ducts and fixtures, and connected it all to our Nest all in one day. They even scheduled on a Saturday, to not interrupt our work-from-home and school-from-home schedules, were extremely courteous, cleaned up as the job went on, and wore masks the whole time. It could not have been very comfortable to wear a mask up there in our tiny crawlspace! When it got warm the next weekend and the A/C magically kicked in... bliss. THANK YOU Team Alanis!!!"

"We recently had Mega Power Electric Inc install a solar system and panels. The President and provided excellent communication all the way through the process. He even met with us after installation to explain the almost incomprehensible PG&E bill. Although not the least expensive bid, his was competitive and I felt he was as interested in educating me about solar and the various types of panels and inverter systems as he was in selling a system. He demonstrated how the array of panels would meet our energy needs and as opposed to some of the other companies, wasn't selling us more than we needed. We are very satisfied with our solar system and I highly recommended Mega Power Electric Inc."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Pine Valley, CA

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
