"I would recommend Aztec to anyone, in fact I did. Aztec also replaced my mothers heating and air conditioning. They were dependable, on time, didn't leave me with a big clean up to do. They cleaned up after them selves. They did exactly what they said they would do and it cost exactly what they said it was going to cost."

"We had a fantastic experience with Mark from All Set Home! He came out to check on our solar panels and immediately impressed us with how knowledgeable he was. He walked us through exactly how everything works , which I really appreciated. On top of that he actually discovered that one of our inverters was out and got it replaced it on the spot. Mark was professional, thorough, and genuinely great communicator the entire time. You could tell he really knows his stuff and takes pride in his work. If you?re looking for someone who will treat your home solar system with care and expertise, look no further than Mark and the All Set Home team. Highly recommend!"

"They were great. During the snowstorm, they came to my house and told me what parts needed to be replaced. They ordered the parts and installed them the next day. I could not believe how quickly they repaired my furnace. I could not have been more pleased."

"Carlos and Rigo are very professional and knowledgeable. I had a terrible smell in my home and called these guys to help. They quickly diagnosed the problem as having a cracked heat exchanger. They recommended replacing the furnace as repair would be around the same cost plus a new one comes with a warranty. They sent me a quote which I approved and they replaced the unit promptly. The new one they put in was more efficient than the old one and they also replaced the thermostat and fresh air damper unit. I learned so much about the process from them. They are attentive to answering your questions. They are very respectful of property and keep you informed throughout the process what they are doing. I am very impressed with their work. I will be using them for future jobs and highly recommend that you give them a try yourself!"

"Company was called because the error codes on the system indicated that the pressure switch was in a stuck open position.  Prior to calling, I replaced the pressure switch but still got the same error codes.  The technician checked out the entire system, cleaned the vacuum lines, and finally got the system working.  Problem appears to be intermittent and non-reproducible.  Technician went back to shop, talked to other technicians to get their opinions and returned the next day.  At that time, he stated that he had run all of the tests that any of them knew of and there was nothing else he could do other than start changing out parts that would cost a lot more and might not solve the problem.  On the day of his return, he also changed out the condensation pump that was failing.  I feel that I got the best service possible for the price and appreciated his not trying to get more money from me by changing additional parts.

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Prosser, WA

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
