"This HVAC company is honest and professional, definitely the one to hire. I had another company replace my A/C units last summer and level the furnace, but the system broke down after 6 months. "Two men arrived from the company, and one got right to work setting up equipment and noting where things were in the house while the other explained what they were going to do.  They seemed thorough and knowledgable and did call me out to watch as the dryer vent was cleaned - a decent amount of lint, etc. was pulled out.
After seeing our furnace, the salesman-type guy doing the explaining suggested it be taken apart and cleaned as that had probably never been done (our home is 13 years old, and we just bought it this summer).  He showed me that parts of the furnace had a thin layer of dust, and quoted a price for them to take care of cleaning it that day.  We agreed to have them go ahead, then in the mean time did some research online and made some calls and felt the price we were quoted was high.  The salesman took about $100 off after the lower quotes were mentioned, but the whole thing felt kind of slick.  He showed me the furnace after the service was done, and it was cleaner.  I'm just not sure it was necessary or worth the additional $700+ we paid.  In hindsight, I shoud have stuck with the Big Deal services and done some research on the furnace cleaning before commiting.
