"Ismail explained everything in detailed and was very patient with my repetitive questions. He measured and explained how the system worked. I was very pleased with his service and his committment to replace my system in a timely manner. I would definitely use him again!!! Compared to the other estimates he was very reasonable and worth the money."

"We recently had our furnace replaced and the experience was excellent. The Baker’s team was professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly, showed up on time, and the pricing was very fair compared to other quotes we received. Highly recommend them if you need HVAC work."

"They're great. They also have the maintenance contract on the system. When we moved into the house they were the people servicing it and we decided that we would continue to use them. We got a choice to get a new furnace because it was quieter and they also did some duct work. They were wonderful. For this area where we live, the price was comparable to another local company and even considering the quality of the unit I think it was right on target."

"I was having a problem with MS Office not responding and other files being very, very slow to open. Jim started looking for the cause right away. He did numerous checks for viruses, malware, and various other things that can go wrong. He vigorously pursued a resolution pretty steadily for two days before determining it was a malfunctioning external backup system that was causing the problem. With that finding, he promptly got my computer running smoothly and very fast again. He made two trips to my house; on the first one, he had to cross a sheet of ice in my driveway. Jim is a very capable and experienced computer analyst that will get after your problem because he fully understands the importance of, and the need to have a working computer in the house.

"The guys that showed up were great, very friendly, and ready to answer any questions I had. They did their work quickly and cleaned up afterwards. They also got me an extra discount on the repairs.
There were no high pressure sales pitch or scare tactics used. There was no bait and switch or 'limited time offers' to push the sale along.
The front office person I dealt with could have made more of an effort. The day of my repairs, I was called and told the Credit Card Machine was not working, so I would have to pay by check, or my appointment would have to be changed to another day. I was then called back after several minutes and told that a post-dated check would be acceptable if funds were not currently available. I understand that the Credit Card System was being changed over, but there should have been some thought put into this before calling anyone.
The B for responsiveness is for the front office, not the workers.

"HVAC EVOLUTIONS services technician Mynor Morales was very promt and friendly in his services. He arrived within the hour I had contacted his company when my furnace suddenly stopped working the day before a very large storm was to hit our area. After finding the problem he was able to get the part and install it without delay. I found him to not only be helpful and fair but honest, which is pleasantly surprising sometimes in this industry especially when you are faced with a sudden emergency. Instead of calling the big names I took my friends recommendation and called HVAC EVOLUTION Home Appliance Repair Heating and Cooling Services. I was very glad I did and will certainly not only pass the referral on but I will also feel good about calling them in the future.

"No work was performed. Angie's List has been unable to remove this from my account and I'm tired of the popups. The service coupon was offered from a vendor on the West Coast to me in VA. The company name is exactly as one listed in VA so I errantly purchased the coupon. Angie's List refunded the money but multiple attempts to remove this aborted service scheduling have failed. This is my attempt at removing it from the system and quit nagging me EVERY time I log in to write a review.

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
