"Before he changed the ice maker unit that wasn't working, he shut off power to the refrigerator so the system would reset. He took info needed so if it didn't work when we turned power back on, he could order part & left. It only started working a good 7 hours after he left. He could have just changed the part, but helped us save money. He was very cordial & very prompt. I would give 6 stars if I could."

"We decided to add central air to our house. I called sure-temp as they installed our furnace 4 years ago. Based on my furnace experience, I expected a quote from a polite, professional person and that is exactly what I got. Interestingly enough, I mentioned to the estimator that I felt that Sure Temp was very reasonable with their products and pricing. He said quite bluntly that they were not necessarily the cheapest but that they worked hard to support everything that they sell. To be safe, I had 2 other companies do an assessment. While a month and a half later I have yet to hear from one company, the second was $200.00 more for a similarly featured competitive model. Add the 36 month interest free financing and I am happy. To be honest, the estimators from all 3 companies were professional in their work.
Ok. Back to sure temp. The quote came to me within 2 days. After doing my due diligence, I contacted Sure Temp to confirm, got approved and within a week the install was completed. Talk about fast! The installers arrived early and were pleasant and professional. They cleaned up after themselves very well.
From the initial call through completion, everyone I came into contact with at this firm was never anything but polite, friendly and professional. I would recommend them highly.

"Hired Johnny B Goode to install mini split heat pump to a new construction. Unit is up and running. John had to make a couple trips in order to make this install happen with the other parts of the home construction. He was good about collaborating with the other contractors and at the end all came together nicely. Saved a few hundred dollars going this route. I would recommend Johnny B Goode Heating."

"Clay, NY / June, 2016 – After my roof developed a leak, during the late fall of 2015, I scoured the internet to find (3) local roofing companies for an estimate (Positive reviews outweighed my decision as opposed to any discount offers). Of the three companies that stopped out, Dan from VanDusen Exteriors was the only one that actually climbed up on the roof to access the job. VanDusen Exteriors was not the least expensive, but I felt comfortable signing a contract with them because of their online reviews. With winter approaching, I felt that it was too late in the season to re-roof so I asked that the job be completed during the summer of 2016. Dan offered to make temporary repairs to cover me through the winter months and stopped out on three occasions to make repairs at no cost to me. They even stopped out during the winter and offered to put salt blocks on the roof, at no charge to me, to control ice buildup. Fortunately, this service was not needed. On the morning of June, 17th, a crew of (17) arrived and completed the re-roof of my home in just over (4) hours. They first covered the front and rear decks with tarps and placed plywood in front of the garage door to protect it from falling debris before removing the old ridge vent, asphalt shingles, underlayment and 3/8" CDX plywood. They then installed new 1/2" CDX plywood, painted drip edges and 6 feet of Winterguard Ice & Water Underlayment. The remainder of the roof received Raptor Roof Synthetic Underlayment. They then installed CertaintainTeed Landmark Architectural Asphalt Shingles (30 yr. warranty) a CertainTeed (rolled, low-profile) Ridge Vent and sealed the vent pipe boot and furnace flu flashing. They even painted the furnace flu black. After the crew finished cleaning up the debris, the foreman gave me a final inspection and showed me pictures that he had taken with his cell phone during various stages of installation (I’m still waiting for copies of those pictures). I received a written 20-year warranty against leakage due to their workmanship. I am an honest customer and am sharing my experience to help you decide which contractor to hire. If you’re looking to have any exterior work done to your home, do yourself a favor and get multiple estimates. Just make sure that one of those free estimates is from VanDusen Exteriors. I highly recommend them. (I will post the pictures taken on the day of installation when I receive them)"

"I was having a problem with MS Office not responding and other files being very, very slow to open. Jim started looking for the cause right away. He did numerous checks for viruses, malware, and various other things that can go wrong. He vigorously pursued a resolution pretty steadily for two days before determining it was a malfunctioning external backup system that was causing the problem. With that finding, he promptly got my computer running smoothly and very fast again. He made two trips to my house; on the first one, he had to cross a sheet of ice in my driveway. Jim is a very capable and experienced computer analyst that will get after your problem because he fully understands the importance of, and the need to have a working computer in the house.
