Kasi is a local, family-owned and operated spray foam insulation contractor. We service Phoenix, Tucson, Prescott, and northern Arizona. Two brothers, Patrick and Paul Kariniemi, founded Kasi in 2010. Prior to starting Kasi, Patrick spent ten years with a spray foam roofing company in Phoenix and Paul was an industrial construction contractor in Minnesota. Although we’ve tested nearly every foam insulation product available in Arizona, we’ve only purchased foam from a few suppliers. We have an 11-year long relationship with our injected foam manufacturer and a five year long relationship with our spray foam supplier. Since each foam insulation product has its own application characteristics, we’ve found that you have a lot fewer problems by sticking with reputable manufacturers who stand behind their products. As a result, our technicians are experts in the products they install.\n\n

"So far we only had the energy survey and report (sales pitch). The technician and sales rep were courteous and provided answers to our questions. Neither were pushy. We are doing comparatives on the cost of adding insulation to the attic and sealing leaking vent, ducts and returns. We told them we were not interested in Solar and they did not force the issue. They did suggest we do the outlets and door molding ourselves."

"Darwin came out to give us a quote several months ago. Due to some framing issues, we just now needed insulation. When Darwin first visited my husband and I, we were both very comfortable with his level of knowledge and his honesty. We had some other quotes, but we felt Marshall Insulation would do the best job. Foam insulation is something you do NOT want to trust to just anyone. You need people who know what they are doing. Marshall Insulation knows what they are doing!
They came out when they were supposed to show up and sprayed the house for about 1.5 days. Darwin came out after they were done spraying with his heat gun to make sure all of the foam was thick enough. He had the spray rig come back out the next day to hit a couple spots that were not up to Marshall's standards. I discovered one other little spot in a closet that was a little thin, and Darwin sent someone right out to fix it.
Our house is now extremely well insulated and soundproof. We could not be more pleased with the work that Darwin and his team did. Thank you Marshall Insulation!

"Initial quote I got for insulation was $4,000. Another vendor quoted $1,800, but was including upgrades and trying to promote even further work. AZ Insulation was $900. They talked through the upgrade options but recommended against them as they did not provide the value to what I needed (though agreed to perform if I wanted them and at a more competitive rate). They got everything done in an hour and cleaned up after themselves. Their customer service team was friendly and helpful. Even with a scheduling snafu, they apologized and got back with me timely. I highly recommend them."

"They installed fiberglass blown in insulation into the cavity in our Arizona room ceiling. The two workmen were proficient and careful. That resulted in a job well done. I would recommend this company. Gil the estimator carefully explained the process and the costs to our satisfaction."

"The owner spent time on the phone discussing pros and cons of different AC units. He was able to give me a quote and install within the week. I will use this company again."

".The work was good but took 2 days to complete due to the availability of his assistants. The process is extremely messy however and suggest you cover everything when the job is being completed. He was very courteous and through. Make sure to mention if you are a senior as he gives a discount. This is a young company and privately owned so Shawn is eager to make you happy. My house is approximately 1480 sq ft and the other quote I received was for $500.00. That was only for the blown in insulation and not all the AC duct work repair."

"William and team did a great job. Smooth skim coat wasn't something that many contractors would even bid on. The results were fantastic. The finish on the walls was paint-ready and super smooth. With multiple coats in addition to the ceiling work it was done in about a day and a half. Pretty impressive for two guys. They were professional and contentions of the space and kept things as neat as can be for such a messy job. Very little sanding was needed so the dust was minimal. I plan to have them back for more work."

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.
It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.
Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
