"They had an Excellent group of workers. The did blow in in the attic, batt insulation under the house and one wall with foam insulation. Very professional at all times. They left the work area cleaner when that left than when that started. A final walk through was done where they addressed all discrepancies on the spot."

  • Alvaro arrived on time to give us an estimate on re-stuccoing the back and sides of the house.  He was very professional and explained just what was going to be done.  A detailed written estimate was provided to us.   The crew who did the work arrived on time and were very careful to cover plants and bushes so they wouldn't be damaged.  The job took 3 days due to recent rains and Alvaro came out to make sure there was no damage to the areas already repaired.  When the job was finished the area was left clean and Alvaro did a walk about with my husband to make sure we were satisfied with the job done.  We were VERY pleased with the quality of the product they used and with Alvaro and his crew.  We would highly recommend using BluSky for any stucco needs.

"Rep. checked entire system. He found several wires not connected properly and fixed this. He also made recommendations regarding the attachment of the panels to the rood that would provide more stability and leakproofing. The representative appeared to know what he was doing - much better than others, including the representative who was engaged by the roofer (who replaced our rood due to hail damage) to disconnect/connect the panels."

"Roofing USA were very professional throughout. They were punctual, although the work got done a few weeks later than planned but such delays happen in this industry. They seem to have done a good job with the Gaco coating, although I did have to ask them to come back after they were done to redo a few patches that didn't get a thick enough layer. They were happy to do that. They only had to resurface part of my roof - the rest is a walkable roof deck - and they did leave many spots of Gaco on the roof deck which I had to ask them to come back and remove. I though the price was expensive but it was easily going to work out cheaper than the other two companies I contacted. They also had the least disruptive plan for working around my AC/heating unit. I got a higher bid from A+ Sustainable Coatings, and Hollywood Roofing told me I would have to hire a crane to lift that unit off the roof while they worked, which they said would be about $2500. I never did get a complete bid from them but with that extra cost I assumed it wouldn't be competitive, and I didn't think the crane was necessary. With Roofing USA, the price worked out at about $7 per square foot."

"Jonas answered my initial call promptly, set an appointment to come to the house, arrived on time and was able to give me an estimate right away.  I had gotten several estimates and his was in the middle range of prices.  An outstanding issue to me was that no other tile installer was willing to give me an estimate on doing my fireplace front.  It involved inlaying glass tile into ceramic in a pattern and the fireplace is 6' wide and 12' high.  Jonas had a brilliant way to install this feature without a lot of fuss.  He and his helper arrived each day mostly on time, occasionally he would call to say they were running late.  Another plus, he stayed on the job until it was finished.  He didn't start another project until all of my job was done.  One thing though, the estimate was about 15% short of what I ended up agreeing to pay.  I find this not to be surprising with any contractor estimate.  All in all I'm very pleased with the result and expect to hire Mr. Jensen again when I'm ready to redo my bathroom."

FAQs for insulation service projects in Albuquerque, NM

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.

It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.

Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
