One word of caution, in your insurance policy, make sure you have content damage recovery in the mold coverage clause. If you do not they will cover cost of remediation but not the contents and therefore you will have to work on your taxes to see if you can claim a substantial loss of contents. "During the mold removal process I was told all scrap wood and debris would be removed before the crawl space moisture barrier plastic would be laid. This did not occur, Due to black plastic sheeting not being available translucent plastic was substituted. This does provide a moisture barrier while making evident the wood and debris that was not removed prior to laying the plastic sheet. Also, the translucent material allows for organic growth around the crawl space air vents. Lastly, the air ductwork was to be fogged to kill mold within. This has not yet been completed. I've attempted to phone and text my ECT contact without success. Their operation does travel through several regions. Hopefully, they will return to correct the debris concern and fog the ductwork. Good news is the mold on the floor joist underlayment has been eradicated."
