"My husband and I hired Carl for a few handyman jobs including updating the crown molding in our downstairs space, replacing our front porch columns, replacing our front door, and adding some detail to our kitchen island. We couldn’t have been happier with the results. He is extremely attentive to detail and clearly has a lot of experience. He was very respectful of us and our time. Next time I need another repair/job I will for sure be reaching out to Carl again."

"Charles Green and his employees were top notch. Our ceiling was uneven with patched paint and irregularities where the beams lay behind the drywall. Mr. Green showed up to look at the ceiling and give an estimate the day after we called him, and he offered to start work the following day. Throughout the process, Mr. Green was professional, patient, competent, trustworthy, and thorough. He educated us about what he would be doing, answered all of our (admittedly ignorant) questions about mudding and drywall, and even accelerated the project to finish earlier than planned when we realized our movers would be arriving a day earlier than expected. It is worth noting that because we were living elsewhere at the time, we entrusted Mr. Green and his company with the keys to our home because we felt confident we were in good hands. Hire G&G; you will not be disappointed!"

"Overall, Bear Mountain did a good job re-painting my home. And you will probably find that they are cheaper than some painters if you get a lot of quotes. I would say you’ll be satisfied with the paint job, but don’t use them for any repairs, and be aware that they will do the minimum necessary to complete the job. You are getting what you pay for. A basic paint job. I do not like what they consider “touch up” and how they bill. It seems like touch up could be anything from a small missed spot, to an entire corner missed, to something in the contract not completed. In other words, I think they use “touch up” a little too loosely. Their invoices will state that payment is due upon “substantial” completion. So, as you could imagine, they will want payment and could consider many things touch up, when I would consider it, job incomplete. What happened with me is after a quick glance I thought they were 100% done, and didn’t even see touch up items, and I paid them. But, later on I noticed areas where the paint was thinly sprayed on, a corner board not painted, nail holes not filled in, and an attic vent I stressed should be painted with extra care because it’s really old wood, which was not. And with that vent screen which should be replaced which was not. I even reminded the lead guy while he was here. I played phone tag with them to try and get them back for touch up. I’ve been very busy at my job and would miss their call. I would call back and they would say that the person who called already left or was not available. Then I honestly was afraid even if they came back they wouldn’t do this attic vent right, so I just took care of it. I was afraid because they aren’t craftsmen or carpenters first. They are painters - even though they advertise they do all the repair stuff too. I would recommend you hire a quality carpenter if you need any repairs done. They replaced some flashing for me, attempted to screw part of it down through cement (unique situation - long story). You can tell they had trouble with this part and just left screw holes in a few spots where they couldn’t get the screws to grip into the cement. I also needed a fascia board replaced. They forgot at first, but did come back and did that on the last day. I know they forgot because why would you replace a board after painting the area? And, it was done in a rough manner in my opinion. It just seems like the carpentry side of their crew members may not be their strong suit. And because that’s the vibe I got - I didn’t want them to come back and attempt to re-do anything honestly. That parts on me I guess. In short, since they may not hurt your wallet as much as certain companies, I’d say, use them for your exterior paint job, but maybe before they come out, have someone else you really trust do any wood rot repairs, or other carpentry work. It also depends on how picky you are. Perhaps the level of quality I’m looking for just doesn’t exist anymore. Or, doesn’t exist in my price range."

"Nextor is definitely one of the GOOD contractors out there, who will be invested in your project and will see it through to the end despite unforseen challenges by suppliers/other contracted contractors on the job. Him and his crews did an amazing job turning my 1979 loft with everything original to the house to a modern updated super fly residence I can now truly call a home. And I preface that by saying I'm a very picky client with high expectations. My renovation was unique in that it was not a standard, nor semi standard renovation, but a custom renovation that I choose all of the materials for from the doors, trim, all the way down to the materials for my soundproofed walls and accoustical sealent. Nextor was contracted to do about 80% of the job: demo, insulation, soundproofing/drywall/framing, ceiling texture removal, paint, doors, stairs, door/window/base trim, sub floor repair, vanities/countertop/sink and he was the right reno guy for the job. He has a good range of specialized trades under him to complete the work and he himself is also very talented, he personally did my stairs and it's stunningggggggg :) Everyone loves my stairs! He did a really good job considering the challenges of my walls and floors not being straight/level. It's an older home, and so bad that let's just say every contractor whose come to work on my home has complained about my uneven walls lol. However Nextor with his craftsmanship was able to mask all of the imperfections. I was particularly impressed with my bone straight stair trim! I gave him a sketch of how i wanted my stairs to look based of inspo from pinterest and he delivered! I was also really impressed with his teams drywall patchwork. They closed up the to go window in my kitchen, fixed a water leak in my 2nd floor ceiling among other drywall repair and it all is unrecognizable. Like new. They live up to the "superior" in "superior drywall". While I did do extensive planning, and wanted to be very hands on the job giving it was my 1st reno I realy appreciated Nextors expertise in recognizing opportunities and making recommendations that improved the functionality of my home like changing the swing of my 2 bathroom doors so that I now have more room in my very petite sized bathrooms. He suggestion to opt out of installing quarter rounds on my baseboards and it really elevated the feel of the home to a more modern on trend home. And frankly if I had gone with his method for soundproofing as there are many ways to do it, it would it would have been a little more economical for the same results. Nextor's attention to detail I also really appreciated throughout the course of the project calling out red flags in work needing to be performed by other contractors, like installing the required electrical boxes for the thickness of my soundproofed walls, call outs that would have been costly issues if not addressed when they were in the project. Nextor is very communicative, you won't go days without an update on the job. And his prices are competitive. No weird or hidden fees in his quotes like some of these other guys who see money signs when working with a female and clearly take advantage of folks who are green. Flexible and adaptable with changes and curve balls to the master plan as there were no shortage of those lol (i.e. deciding to bleach my stairs instead of staining, changing my paint colors the day before paint lol) And always willing to help out when he can. Did some last minute material runs for me, such a doll. Patient with some of the few mistakes I did make and all in all allowed me to learn on the job to really learn the ins and outs of a reno. He's done commercial jobs and obviously can handle residential. Pointing out that mine was permitted requiring inspections by the city. Nextor is a great contractor who will get the job done."
