Start your search by calling Karol Kurkowski of KBK Construction and save yourself a lot of time. 9 times out of 10, he'll answer the phone! Who does that these days? Karol and/or Zibi were on site every day usually starting at 8:30am. Being an old house, nothing was square. It was necessary to pour a self-leveling concrete floor, which took a few days to dry. Even so, they completed the whole job, surprises and all, in under 2 weeks. Many people like tile. I'm not one of them. I wanted a MAAX 80" acrylic tub wall kit, from tub to ceiling. Who knew that it would be so difficult to find a contractor to install it? I'm so grateful that Karol agreed to and did a fine job. Besides doing quality work for a reasonable price, they were a pleasure to work with - always polite and conscientious, and cleaning up at the end of each day."

"Ken was punctual and we went over what was required. I had purchased the fixtures for the two floodlights and 4 switches, and Ken diagnosed that the fixture that wasn't working had to be replaced. I also had two switches that were the old push-button type, and thought that the old wiring might need to be upgraded. Ken installed the outdoor floods without a problem. He said that the old wiring didn't need to be upgraded, and that a simple switch replacement would be sufficient. He cleaned everything up, and only upgraded two of the four switches. When I returned at the end of the day, I found that the two switches had been installed, but the extra switches I had purchased had gone, as were the old style push button switches. We hadn't specifically discussed that, but I was surprised that the extra switches were gone. The work was acceptable, and a reasonable price, but would expect a slightly higher level of service/communication."

"The door looks great - the job was very good. My only issue was I had mentioned saving the old door to send to Habitat and it was cut so we couldn't donate it. I guess they just forgot. Since then A&W has gotten smaller and their time line is longer so...we'll see if we use them again.

With the bullbag, I paid one set price and the cool part: I got the bag back to refill again and again. This company also recycles most of what is collected so less ends up in a landfill.
