"We were nervous about having our cabinets painted white, but I saw work Distinctive Enterprises did at my friend's home and was so impressed. We hired them to paint our kitchen cabinets white and my husband and I could not be happier with the outcome. I had tears in my eyes when I walked in and saw it finished. Carlos and his team were kind and punctual. There was a lot of plastic put up to cover our walls, floor and even the ceiling. After they finished the job, you would never have known it looked like a painting factory earlier that day. I highly recommend Distinctive Enterprises for any paint job, and I am sure we will be hiring them again for a future paint project."

"We are in the process of selling our home and were recommended Muir Painting from our realtor. As a homeowner, it's not every day that you find a company that truly exceeds your expectations, but Muir Painting managed to do just that! I recently hired them to completely repaint the interior of our home and undertake a full house re-siding with exterior painting. I am simply blown away by the fantastic results and feel compelled to share my experience with others. From the very beginning, Muir Painting's professionalism and expertise shone through. They were prompt in providing a detailed, fair, and competitive quote for the project. Dan took the time to listen and answer my questions and concerns and offered valuable suggestions to ensure that the final outcome would be both beautiful and durable. The interior painting was handled with great care and attention to detail. They took the time to thoroughly prepare the surfaces. The results were nothing short of amazing - the rooms now have a fresh and vibrant feel, and the quality of the finish is outstanding. As for the house re-siding and exterior painting, I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Dan & crew displayed exceptional craftsmanship, ensuring that the siding was properly installed and sealed to protect against the elements. The exterior paint job was flawless, giving my home a stunning new look that has significantly boosted its curb appeal. Throughout the entire process, Dan was professional, punctual, and maintained a clean work site. He constantly kept me informed of their progress and made sure to address any questions or concerns I had. It was evident that they take great pride in their work, and this was reflected in the final results. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Muir Painting for anyone seeking to transform their home. Their team's skill, professionalism, and dedication to customer satisfaction have earned them a well-deserved five-star rating. My home looks and feels brand new, and I couldn't be happier with the results."

"I am totally happy with professional house painters!! They did a perfect job painting the exterior of our house which hadn’t been painted in over 30 years. They spent a whole day scraping all the peeling paint & then applied the primer. Did the pressure washing & came back to paint the house & trim. They are hard workers & pay attention to detail. They cover everything up as to not get paint on driveways plants etc. Also cleaned up like they weren’t even there. The friendly, professional & know what there doing. If your needed some painting done inside or out give them a call."

"Carlos painted my home and shop 3 years ago and did an excellent job. I got a bid for painting my deck railing and staining the deck itself. The bid came quickly and very reasonable. The job was done quickly and just as we had agreed upon. You wonâ t be disappointed."

FAQs for painting projects in Aloha, OR

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.

Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.

Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.

You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.

Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.

Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
