Small jobs welcome
"I had my ceiling painted in my entire house. I had smoke damage from my wood stove and paint on the ceiling. The previous home owner had a little girl who painted her room purple and got some of the paint on the ceiling. Dwayne did a beautiful, professional job. I could tell that he is proud of his work and his attention to detail. There was no dripping. The lines where the walls and ceiling met were crisp. I was surprised he cleaned my house and moved my furniture back after he was finished. I didn’t expect that. I would definitely hire him again for future paint jobs."

"Tom and Noah are both quite knowledgeable and very professional. The painting crew did outstanding work for a reasonable price. The work was done in a timely manner and the cleanup was exceptional. Iâ ve recommended revel painting company to several of my neighbors and one of them has already signed up to have his house painted too. Overall this was a great experience and I highly recommend Revel painting company to anyone looking for a nice professional job at a reasonable cost.. Great work guys!!!"

"David and Mike did a wonderful job. They actually painted an entire townhouse, kitchen cabinets and took wall paper down in 2 bathrooms and painted. It was a rather large project for a home prepping to go on the market. I've already shared that I plan on hiring them again for painting my home's living/kitchen areas. Great communication, easy to work with, work happened as plannedâ faster than I even expected. I took a chance and so happy I did for this project."

"Professional painting with a quick response time, attention to detail, and a fair price. Victor and Edwin painted my house to prepare for market and did a beautiful job. They walked through the house with me, gave a fair quote; and did the work the same day. Highly recommend. Top notch customer service and communication and superior quality work."

Customers say: True professional
"We hired Davids Painting to clean and restain our 2 level deck. Each level is 10' X 20" with cedar shake wall along the lower level. They were professional, thorough and kept us informed on the progress of the project. They kept the area clean and neat all the while they were here and were very pleasant to work with. I would give Davids Painting a 5 Star Review and would reccomend them to anyone."

"Steve, Greg and LouAnn were wonderful to work with and allowed me to make changes to my work proposal as I needed and wanted them to. Greg did an excellent job with all of the interior painting of walls and ceilings and all of the staining of the doors and trim. Never once did I doubt that I hired the right company for our undertaking!!"

"Jim Cavanaugh stained our fence for us. We are so pleased with the final product. We've already had numerous compliments from our neighbors and people just walking by our property. Am so pleased. Jim painted several rooms in our home and again, we are so pleased with how each room now looks. Most of all, we are so grateful for Jim's professionalism from the start through the finish including the clean up. We would recommend Jim highly. As a fact, we already have!"

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.
Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.
Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.
You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.
Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.
Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
