"We hired MH Painting to repair several large cracks on walls and ceiling, to paint 3 rooms including a bedroom where he sanded and refinished the floor, to paint our hallway and paint and refinish several doors. He also painted our staircase. Matt did an excellent job! He was very skilled and accommodating. We are very pleased with the results and will definitely call on MHPainting for future projects."

"I've used Champion for many years and for many projects. Kitchens, bathrooms, interior and exterior painting, flooring, roofing, bathrooms, decks and window installations. I have never had an issue with them. Their work is clean, they are reliable and the workers are genuinely nice people. This time it was to remove my old deck and build a new composite deck, paint trim and do some trim carpentry. All done perfectly. If you want a contractor that treats your house like it was theirs then give them a call."

"I am extremely happy with the work that Muhammad and his team did. They paved my front yard, and did some minor painting and repairing for a price that was very fair. I could not be happier with the results. They also cleaned everything up and took away all debris. They are true professionals. I would highly recommend them."

"I hired Loja Renovations to assembly a number of furniture I bought online that was very difficult to put together. They came and quickly assembled them with ease. They're very skilled and efficient. Apart from the reasonable cost, I was particularly impressed with their professionalism, their show of care for the customer and their respectful attitude. I definitely plan to use them again."

"I hired Nelson to paint the rails around my deck. He came to the house, accessed the condition of the rails and made suggestions. His estimate seemed fair for the work so I hired him. Nelson’s team completed the work quickly and efficiently. They would arrived early each morning and work until the end of the day. Nelson responded to all of my inquiries quickly. The only thing I would have done differently was ask more questions about the materials he was purchasing on my behalf. I expected him to just buy paint since he was painting the rails, but the receipt included drop cloths and some other materials I had no idea about and I thought he would already have as a contractor. Overall, they did a great job, especially protecting the property from the spray paint."

"Entoni is the consummate professional. This job entailed demolition, restoration and tiling as well as wallboard replacement and painting. All aspects of this job were done professionally and with an incredible level of expertise. Daily updates were provided with photos and cleanup was perfect. I canâ t recommend this contractor group highly enough. If you have had a bad experience with contractors in the past, you deserve to treat yourself to how easy and pleasant your job can be. This is a legitimate review from a real customer."

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.
Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.
Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.
You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.
Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.
Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
