"The Pro's team do an incredible job with painting prep. As with any painting job the final results are dependent on the prep work. My painting project included a number of drywall cracks and tape joint opening up which they addressed but they also corrected a large number of other drywall imperfections that I had not noticed especially in the ceilings. I was very impressed with how they spotted and corrected issues using bright handheld lights to spot defects. They also caulked numerous small openings between moulding/trim and the drywall. Another nice approach they used when it came to sanding the drywall wall repairs was the use of ductless power sanders which probably eliminated 99% of dust. Not only did the sanders speed the work but left hardly any dust behind. The team spent the better part of two days just working drywall issues. The team also was very diligent with protecting furniture and flooring with extensive use of canvas tarps for the floors and plastic for furniture and counter spaces. They did a great job cleaning up the areas when completed. Overall I completely satisfied with the incredible job performed by the Pros. The completed painting on walls, ceiling, and trim looks fantastic. On a side note I have to mention that Roy Sealy the owner who did the estimate was very knowledgeable. He initially was the one that pointed out problems in the drywall and other concerns. He responded with a estimate within a day and followed up promptly to my questions. He should up with the team the first day and did a walk through to ensure the guys knew what they needed to work on. Roy also doesn't collect any money until the job is complete and that I'm satisfied with the results. Overall I have to say that I highly recommend the Pros."

"Jorge and his crew did an excellent job replacing our roof. They were timely and clean and courteous. Jorge is very knowledgeable about the different types of shingles and different warranties. He advised us that some of the decking could be rotted from damage, so we were not surprised when some of it had to be replaced. "The Handyman Pro Solution team replaced my fence which had unique height requirements, painted my deck and multi-colored â She Shed,â as well as pressure washed my home. "This is going to be a long review because I think it is important for potential customers to get the full picture, instead of just a view, of Eddy's excellent work ethic and workmanship that was devoted to our project. We had a carriage house/shed that was unusable in its current condition, and I wasn't sure whether to have it torn down or try to have it fixed. Having just bought our new home (a 100 year old Victorian) and moving to the area, I wasn't sure who to contact. I found Eddy's info on Homeadvisor - saw the reviews - and decided to give him a call. And, I am so happy that I did!! After tearing down and clearing out all of the old debris, Eddy added new drywall and painted the inside. Electricity, a concrete driveway and flooring, and 2 new doors were added giving us a wonderfully updated space for our car, storage and workshed. What I want to point out is not just an excellent renovation job, but also the fact that Eddy kept the integrity of such an old building intact. His expertise in recognizing and respecting its historical value was evident after he discovered that one wall had its original barn wood still intact. It had been covered up during a previous renovation - but was still in great condition. (Today, this type of reclaimed wood is very expensive.) Eddy treated the wood to help preserve it, therefore, adding extra value and beauty to a building I had once thought about tearing down. I am so thankful that he recognized its historical value and brought it to our attention!! (Who knew a garage could have a focal wall...lol!!) Eddy kept us up to date and involved in every step of the project, and it was completed within the given time frame. We highly recommend Eddy and his crew, and I am sure we will use his services again!! (In fact, I am alreading lining up future projects.)"

But some may need to take it back to their shop to run numbers and give you a detailed estimate with costs broken out. Neither method is better than the other, but just make sure to get multiple quotes.
- How long have you been in business? A long business history helps you avoid shoddy companies. It’s hard for a service business to stay in business if they don’t do good work.
- Are you licensed and insured? Not all states require a license for painting homes, but many do. Always use one that’s insured.
- Do you belong to any professional organizations? You’ll find many online, like the Painting Contractors Association or the Finishing Contractors Association?
- Do you have other work I can look at? Always check a portfolio or, in the case of painters, it’s better to look at work they did a few years ago to see how well it’s held up.
- How long will the job take? Get a rough estimate but get it in writing.
- How many people are in your crew? This is especially important if you work remotely. More people generally means more noise, but they’ll be done faster.
- Will I be in the way if I’m home during the painting? You usually won’t be in the way, but this question helps you understand what to expect while they’re working. They’ll need to lay down coverings and do a lot of prep work.
- Do you guarantee your work? Never hire a painter who doesn’t guarantee their work. This often means they’ll rush the prep work, since peeling never happens right away.
- What type of paint do you use, and how long is it rated to last? Different rooms need different paint and the exterior needs exterior paint. It comes in different grades with different guaranteed lifetimes.
- Can you supply a written estimate and contract? Never use a painter who isn’t willing to put his work in writing.
