"We solicited bids from three vendors. All viewed the project before bidding. One never sent a bid. Custom Painting gave us a good bid, and the third vendor bid almost double Custom Painting's bid. The project lasted two days. Custom Painting's people arrived on time each day. They did a great job all around. The carefully covered everything. The ceiling repairs were perfect. We are pleased with the paint job. I would, without hesitation, use this firm for future projects."

"B&B Painting did a great job with our investment condo remodeling - our third time to work with B&B in 3 different properties. Blake and Brittany (owners) and their top-notch team are extremely professional, efficient, timely, courteous and knowledgeable. We leveraged Brittany’s design and color palette expertise for a flawless end result. B&B painted the ceiling, all walls, all doors, and all trim throughout the condo. I would never use any other company for our drywall repair and painting needs! Five stars all the way!!"

"The Carnival Custom Painting they restrained and applied some gloss coats to the exterior door and side lights. The gentleman that did the work was extremely good. Work was very well done and completed within 7 hours and they charge some $1,050 but considering the amount of some damage to the wood and the fact that the person that did the previous job staining painting of the door wasn't very careful and left a lot of rough monks on the door. I could consider that to be a bargain price for making look almost like new considering that."

"Amazing painters! Very professional and thorough with their work. Did a great job with preparation and completely protected all my hardwood floors, stairs, etc. for the FULL house re-paint. Helped me with color selections. Paint work is excellent! Clean up & touch up was very good. Albert the owner communicates very well & updates you on daily scope. Would hire again in a heartbeat! Local family own business which I fully support. Came on time and very respectful to the property. See photos below. Walls, Ceilings, & all trim use to be cream yellowish, now all white base colors. Vanities use to be white, now a warm blue color that pops! 20 year old property went on the market and I had 5 showings on the first day because of the fresh paint new house look. Every single painted item in the house was repainted."

"We found Luxz, highly rated, on Angi’s list. The team visited multiple times to ensure their bids were accurate and met the goals of our project needs (stucco repair and exterior house painting). Throughout the project Eddie, Angel, and team were super responsive and open to feedback. They were eager to ensure the work met our expectations. They are straightforward and tell you exactly what they would do if it if it was them in their personal situation, which is so appreciated in this field very often it is difficult to have the level of knowledge and expertise for the situation. You are made to feel like a valued client throughout the process and treated like a real individual regardless of the size of the project. They are definitely a company that we would go back to again and again because they can handle many different situations and jobs."

"They did a wonderful job painting my cabinets. It looks like I have a new kitchen! They also refinished my front door, and it looks brand new. They repainted my handrails on my stairs, and painted my doors and baseboards. They did an excellent job. This is my second time using them. They painted my interior house 2 years ago. I will keep using them."

"Had a very good experience with Morin’s Painting and Remodeling. They painted all the cabinets in my house and did a fantastic job. They have very good communication and I would definitely hire them again if I have any more painting needs in the future."

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.
Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.
Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.
You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.
Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.
Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
