"They arrived with a full crew and within 5 hours our entire was painted - everything is perfect and we love it. The crew was polite and professional and showed us everything that was done before they asked for payment. I would 100% recommend them to anyone thinking about having their house painted and roof sealed. Thank you S & H Contracting LLC!!!"

"We hired Painting Pros to paint the exterior of our home. We had two colors which meant careful masking and prep, and they even completed some tightening up of trim, painted doors as agreed and more. They did an excellent job - I would highly recommend getting in touch with Carlos and his team for your painting work"

"Anthony Rivers did an excellent job restaining our back patio columns and front porch beams, which had become weathered due to the sun. He was polite, courteous, and professional and finished the job in less than 3 days. He was able to start right away, which was a plus, and his quote was competitive. His work was better than the builders original staining, which appeared to be only 1 coat. Anthony applied 2 coats of stain and 1 clear coat. I would definitely hire him again."

"Before they started they made sure that I saw what the paint looked like on the house. It actually looked quite different on stucco than on the paint chip. They arranged to have the color altered so that it ended up looking as we had hoped it would on the house. They were prompt and always courteous. I would highly recommend them."

"The quality of the work done was excellent! We did have a couple of communication issues that delayed work a few days, but once those were cleared up, everyone was really responsive. They got the full restucco of our house done in 1 day! It seemed like everything on our house was more of a pain than we initially thought it would be, but the staff were fantastic about staying late and making sure everything was done well. They even took the time to paint our gutters so that they would coordinate better with the house. All the guys on the job were really skilled and very, very kind.
The only thing that I had an issue with was the clean-up/follow-up work that was done. When they were scraping paint, they didn't cover the ground, or my children's sand box, so I've been picking up paint chips for some time. My young children and I also have found about a dozen screws in my grass/ground that were left behind when they were changing out the gutters. In addition, they didn't put back any of the paving stones they took up to dig for the restucco. Finally, there were also a few areas on the freshly painted woodwork that got chipped during the restucco, but no one came through at the end and did any touch-ups. They did leave the extra paint for me to do it, but it would have been nice if it were part of the work.
All in all, it was a positive experience. I would recommend them, but just make sure you're firm about the clean-up details that you want done.

"Tony "Ocho" Lopez was the best! He was extremely professional, fair and enthusiastic. He is a licensed painter and did extremely good quality work. I had two night stands, a bed frame, and a dresser that I wanted a different color. Tony sanded everything super smooth, got rid of all the nicks and dents in the old wood, and made it look brand new with a new coat of paint. He came to my house and did all the work in my garage, no work on my part needed. If you're looking for a fast, quality painter to do paint jobs at your house Tony is the way to go! I will absolutely be a customer in the future."

"This is a great painting company! They were fast to answer the request. They were on time! So friendly and nice! They cleaned up before they left. One last thing… they started late morning Monday and finished Tuesday before noon. Just a few touch ups."

FAQs for painting projects in Lukeville, AZ

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.

Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.

Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.

You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.

Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.

Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
