"I read all the reviews, and recognized that many of my friends had used this company and gave them rave reviews. James was prompt in contacting me and came immediately to give the estimate. He and his worker were here Monday morning and worked basically 2 1/2 days and the job was job was done, everything cleaned and we hardly knew they were around. I had two bids and Turners was less than 1/2 of the other one. They also did some light repair work on worn parts of the trim and did an excellent job on that. His helper, Arnulfo, was very good with the prep work. We highly recommend James Turner Painting."

"The paint job was good lots of touch up items but make sure your plants and yard decor is covered they will paint them and not even try to shield them ,they will spray their paint sprayer out in the grass my Rose bushes are brown cigarette butts in the yard and driveway, will not scrape pealing paint they will just paint over it unless you tell them to scrape the pealing paint first I guess just be very specific as to what you expect before hiring."

"Byron was nothing short of awesome! He came on time completed all of the tasks we asked of him and additional ones we thought of while he was here. His prices were more than fair as well! We already have him scheduled to come for another project on our new home! :-)"

You’ll need 1 gallon of paint per 350 square feet of coverage. Typical amounts per room size:
Small room (200-400 sq. ft.): 1 gallon.
Medium-sized (400-800 sq. ft.): 2-4 gallons.
Large (800-1,200 sq. ft.): 5-gallons or more.
Painters usually make $20 per hour on average or about $40,000 per year. Independent contractors might pocket a little more. However, they must charge for overhead, such as vehicles, equipment, insurance, marketing and association dues.
Specialty painting, like murals and trompe l’oeil, costs $40 to $50 per hour. Paint might range between $75 to $90. The professional’s skill and experience are also determining factors. While a freelance artist might charge $25 to $30 an hour, a very skilled professional might charge $80 or more. Some might also charge $60 or more for a consultation.
Trompe l'oeil creates a realistic image or optical illusion in three dimensions. Murals are composed on a wall of any size. These two projects vary in price, with a trompe l'oeil typically costing more because of its complexity. Both are considered specialty projects.
