"Sterling did a magnificent job painting the exterior of my Mid Century home in Mountain Center. His work is meticulous and he is so pleasant to work with and respectful of your property. His communication is excellent as he kept me up to date on his progress and filled me in along the way. I would highly recommend Sterling for any paint project. He works clean and you hardly know he is there. The results speak for themselves. I am very happy and Sterling takes great pride in his work"

"Smooth as can be. Ramon and team arrived early AM, as scheduled, and went right to work. Project involved concrete prep, several coats of stain and then sealer. It all happened over 2 days and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I am considering doing my back patio, and will definitely use Ramon Reyes Painting again."

Small jobs welcome
I enjoy painting! I look at each project and think if this was my home how would I like it to look. I have been painting for many years. I only accept payment when the job is done and the home owner is happy. I am a middle school teacher and do painting work when not teaching. I am a Christian and do my best to reflect that in my work.

"Craig and his team did a fantastic job in painting the interior of our home. I was impressed by the quality of the work and by the specific quality control Craig exhibited in his communications to his men. The team worked hard, did not dally at all, and had fun which is a testament to their working relationship with Craig. I would definitely hire C & D Painting again for my next Painting project!"

"Was Referred to Color Craft by a friend. Brett came out and looked at my home. He looked at my home and gave me a very fair estimate. His workers were very good about prepping the surfaces before painting. The finished product looks great, we are very pleased. Brett was very good about answering question throughout the entire project. We would refer Color Craft to all our friends."

"We had our kitchen and 2 bathrooms remodeled. We also had new plumbing and electrical installed. This left of with some walls that were fresh drywall, other walls that were the original plaster, and then lots patched spots to match the original plaster. Needless to say, we had a lot of different finishes and textures going on - and painting was not a job we could tackle on our own. After getting several quotes, we went with Sanchez Painting and I'm so glad we did. Our place looks great. We had pretty much chosen our colors already, but Jay (our main contact) was helpful in explaining why our choices would work. For some reason I was more nervous about picking the paint, something changeable, than I was picking countertops and tile, something much more permanent. His guys arrived on time, worked all day, and got the job done early. Our house was built in 1952, so we have some odd built-ins (like a linen cabinet and hutch in the dining area...even little toilet brush closets in the bathrooms), and Jay was able to make them all look beautiful! There was a small hiccup doing the final walk-through, but once that was done, his crew came back and did a few small touch-ups, including some paint damage done by our contractors. Jay was pleasant to deal with and cared about making sure that we were satisfied. They will definitely be our first call when we need future painting done."

"Three Star Painting proposal was inline with the others and his estimated project duration of four days was precise. A 3-man crew arrived at 8:15 am each day and worked until 4: pm. The craftsmanship and attention-to-detail stood out for the entire project. Everything was masked off and properly prepped before final coats were applied.
Extraordinary cleanup at the end of day four and all planters and furniture were returned to original locations. Great job guys! - Thanks

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.
Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.
Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.
You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.
Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.
Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
