"Brannick Painting just finished a complete exterior repaint of our house in El Cerrito, including staining our deck. Patrick and his team were wonderful to work with. Patrick helped us with color selection, painting large sheets of posterboard with several colors we considered, so we could hold them up to the house in different lighting to see how they would look when finished. we have heard from others that they had small swatches painted on their house and Patrick’s approach is so much more helpful. Patrick is also extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of preparation and painting. We have an old stucco house that needed a lot of detailed preparation. His crew is very experienced, and they did an excellent job repairing and preparing all of the cracks and blemishes on our house. We are very happy with the final product. We highly recommend using Brannick Painting."

From start to finish, Saul was wonderful to work with—professional, efficient, and clearly takes pride in his work. The quality of the painting is excellent, and everything was done on time. His team was respectful of our home and made sure everything was left clean and neat. I highly recommend Saul and SB Painting Company to anyone looking for great quality and reliable service! We will be calling him back to get the outside of the house painted."

"Perfectionism has met its match in Peter Dewey and Bayview Painting. We had a very large exterior painting project which required significant planning and prep work, scaffolding etc as were also getting a new roof and gutters around the same time. Peter’s crew was meticulous in their prep and painting and clean up. Cruz was our lead on the project and a delight to work with. Peter was commonly on sight to check the progress and answer questions. His integrity and professionalism were second to none, as well as that of his crew. We had some damages occur in the process with the amount of scaffolding and repair work that needed to be done and Peter and his crew acknowledged the issue and are taking care of repairs. Their professionalism is beyond reproach. The finished product exceeded my expectations. In all my years of home ownership and repairs, Ive never had the degree of professionalism and quality of workmanship that I had with Peter Dewey and Bayview Painting."

"Cristoff is a very fair and honest person. He's upfront and very detailed. I had my exterior and stairway walls painted. Mesha was able to do some woodwork for some areas that had wood rot. I appreciated that. I recommend them."

"TM did an awesome job painting all the interior walls of our home. They painted 8 rooms and 2 bathrooms in two days which exceeded our expectations. Their work quality is excellent and they moved and protected our furniture and floors to prevent any paint damage. Also did a thorough clean up after the painting was completed. We highly recommended them."

You’ll need 1 gallon of paint per 350 square feet of coverage. Typical amounts per room size:
Small room (200-400 sq. ft.): 1 gallon.
Medium-sized (400-800 sq. ft.): 2-4 gallons.
Large (800-1,200 sq. ft.): 5-gallons or more.
Painters usually make $20 per hour on average or about $40,000 per year. Independent contractors might pocket a little more. However, they must charge for overhead, such as vehicles, equipment, insurance, marketing and association dues.
Specialty painting, like murals and trompe l’oeil, costs $40 to $50 per hour. Paint might range between $75 to $90. The professional’s skill and experience are also determining factors. While a freelance artist might charge $25 to $30 an hour, a very skilled professional might charge $80 or more. Some might also charge $60 or more for a consultation.
Trompe l'oeil creates a realistic image or optical illusion in three dimensions. Murals are composed on a wall of any size. These two projects vary in price, with a trompe l'oeil typically costing more because of its complexity. Both are considered specialty projects.
