"Tony’s Painting were so professional and did an amazing job painting our home. They made sure to communicate with us and explained everything they were doing. I would use them again and refer to anyone needing a painting job completed."

"They were absolutely amazing! Before hiring them, I hired a cheaper painter. Do yourself a favor, don’t waste money on anyone else. If you want absolute perfection, look no further. They painted my old wood paneling walls and it looks like a brand new house! I’m beyond grateful for them. As a Marine, and slightly OCD about small details, it makes me so happy to have a perfectly painted home. These guys were extremely professional and courteous. They explained every step and were more than patient with me during our final walkthrough. If you see any detail that you prefer to be corrected, they will fix it. I literally have a perfectly painted home because of them. This was the best money I’ve ever spent! And they were so fast and efficient. I was honestly amazed! I am so so grateful for them."

Small jobs welcome

"Went from a 35 year old leaky bathroom to a beautiful modern bathroom including needed sub floor support, new flooring, beautiful tile oversize walk in shower with a rainfall and hand held shower head, corner seat, custom glass shower wall and door. New toilet, vanity, dual sinks, marble counter top. New recessed lights and a great paint job. Family and friends rant about the remodel and we absolutely LOVE it! Moving on to new kitchen and living room remodel. M & M are quality craftsmen and really care about what they do and do it right!"

"Jesse Renovations was hired to paint/stain my unfinished covered porch. He was very professional and came out and gave me an estimate to power wash and stain/paint. I liked his professionalism and knowledge. There was one problem encountered but he came up with a solution to solve the problem to my satisfaction."

FAQs for painting projects in Walnut Cove, NC

You’ll need 1 gallon of paint per 350 square feet of coverage. Typical amounts per room size:

  • Small room (200-400 sq. ft.): 1 gallon.

  • Medium-sized (400-800 sq. ft.): 2-4 gallons.

Painters usually make $20 per hour on average or about $40,000 per year. Independent contractors might pocket a little more. However, they must charge for overhead, such as vehicles, equipment, insurance, marketing and association dues.

Specialty painting, like murals and trompe l’oeil, costs $40 to $50 per hour. Paint might range between $75 to $90. The professional’s skill and experience are also determining factors. While a freelance artist might charge $25 to $30 an hour, a very skilled professional might charge $80 or more. Some might also charge $60 or more for a consultation.

Trompe l'oeil creates a realistic image or optical illusion in three dimensions. Murals are composed on a wall of any size. These two projects vary in price, with a trompe l'oeil typically costing more because of its complexity. Both are considered specialty projects.
