Small jobs welcome
"Ben Lypps Painting - I would give him 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend him for interior painting. He also does exterior work, too. Very personable, respectful, honest, pleasant, conscientious. Returns phone calls or text messages. Takes pride in his work, takes his time. He does not do a rush job. 100% satisfaction for a homeowner. He is meticulous. Shows up on time and works tirelessly throughout the day. Works alone - no crews in your home. Trustworthy. Spent considerable time accessing the interior of my home, making notes as to what needs to be addressed before the painting was to begin. Detailed proposal and description of what needed to be done and what quality paint should be used. You know exactly what will be done. Two coats of quality paint on my walls, casing, molding, doors, fireplace, shelving and window aprons. He told me what paint he uses and the quality of the paint. Sanded doors, molding, window aprons, casings. Washed bathroom wall with simple green before painting these rooms. Very helpful in choosing paint for bedrooms, dining room, living room, bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. Patched and repairs any holes or cracks in walls before painting begins. Works clean. and methodical throughout the day. Removes blinds, doors, wall plates...or anything else on walls. Reinstalls. Covers everything that needs to be covered. Never leaves a mess behind after the paint day is over. I trusted him and was able to leave him alone in my home while I had errands to run. Honest to a fault. If you can call painting a vocation. It is his. Highly professional. Attention to detail. I highly encourage anyone who is considering getting their home painted to get Ben Lypps of Fallbrook, Ca."

"We hired Integrity Painting for several areas inside our home including the kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanity, and laundry room cabinets. Jon and his crew did an amazing job. The paint they use is so durable and easy to clean! Jon and his entire crew were extremely professional, efficient and kept my home clean throughout the entire process. We would definitely hire them again for future projects. Highly recommend 10/10!"

"He was very professional cleaned up every day after he was done for that day. Did a fantastic job at my house where above and beyond his duties with little touchups he was so good. I added some closet doors to be painted and the room front door to be painted because he was so good. He was also very professional on the way he did things and had his cruise stuff. I recommend this guy for all my friends. In fact, I kept his card on my refrigerator. They recommend them to my friends or family."

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.
Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.
Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.
You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.
Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.
Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
